My barber was Max, most people on this sight mention the name Natan as their barber. I explained to Max what I wanted but he did not follow my instructions. I asked for my hair to be LONG on the sides, with them combed back, he did not leave them long. If he had a reason for not doing it that way, he should have told me before he started cutting. On another issue, many barbers will taper the sideburns with scissors, the way I prefer it be done, he used a machine. I walked in with my hair parted on the left side, I gave him no instructions to change that. He finished my haircut with all my hair combed back. He did not seem like a hair stylist as the name of the barbershop suggests. He charged $40 for the haircut and $5 for what I thought was a very brief, less than minimum scrubbing effort, hair wash.

BEST HAIRCUT HANDS DOWN ON THE UPPER EAST SIDE I moved to the Upper East Side a couple months ago and needed a barber asap but had no idea where to go. I tried out the first place I walked by and they didn't listen to anything I had to say and gave me a terrible cut. I had to fix it, so I did some googling and found great reviews for a spot on 90th and 2nd. I've now been coming to Natan for 3 months and don't plan on ever going anywhere else. He's everything you look for in a barber: friendly, highly-skilled, great location, great prices, and most importantly he truly listens to how you want your hair cut and cares about how you look. I could not recommend him enough!

Natan gave me a great haircut today. He's a skilled barber with a good eye. After having a buzz cut for over 20 years I found it challenging to find a barber who really listens. I'm very happy to have someone I trust with my hair now.

Overpriced 45 dollars with NO RECEIPT CASH ONLY rough service the way they move my head and when i asked them to trim my less than 1 inch beard, the great unfriendly barber told me 10 bucks additional no shampoo no nothing and good because turns out they would charge me for that, and I heard that they give discount for 5 star reviews which is suspicious because I honestly cannot see what's 5 stars for this service, and my story does not end here ladies and gentlemen after the haircut I wanted to pay using my card he said cash only and immediately he told me to give me my id so I and that i aiuld get cash at the atm next door and another great thing has happened After withdrawing 50 bucks I was charged 4 dollars because For my checking and savings account they cost each 2 dollars I didn't gmleft him any tip because It was too overpriced and then no receipt I will never EVER go back and please be careful this place is a fraud probably because I am a newbie if you want to see more truthful reviews see...

To change or not to change….If someone said to me 25 years ago that I would one day move above 14th street I would’ve said, “absolutely no way, everything important to me is downtown, my friends, my favorite coffee shops, my favorite restaurants, and of course my barber in Soho.“ ….and just like that, the pandemic happened and changed everything. I moved to the Upper West Side and then moved to the Upper East Side, but continued to be faithful by going to my barber in Soho. One day my barber had an emergency and couldn’t cut my hair and I panicked. Not getting my haircut was not an option. I was on a mission to find another barber. I guess it’s true, all things happen for a reason, because I found the best barber shop (Great Style) on the Upper East Side at 1734 Second Avenue, NYC 10128. Nathan’s an amazing barber, he’s familiar with a variety of techniques, eye for details, and most importantly is able to work with clients who have different hair types. Change...
