I was in the area on a weeknight for another place originally but those plans had fallen through. It was very late and I was deciding what to eat...and for some reason I was craving a burger. A good friend alerted me that there was a 7th Street burger open late nearby! Located in the very bustling LES section of Manhattan (near Chinatown) this store is actually open until 1am on a weekday (3am on Friday and Saturday) which was perfect timing for my current situation.

The dining area is so spacious at this location compared to the others i have been to. There are any seats but you can stand at eat at the table tops. There is a longer table toward the left as you enter. On that night there were only a few people by the entrance as I walked in (three girls who seemed to have come from a club or a show) in there waiting for their food but the neighborhood itself still was looking pretty active with people walking around around at almost 12am. I am willing to bet this place gets packed when its prime time.

There is beauty in simplicity. The menu consists Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger, Impossible burger (vegetarian) and Double Impossible (vegetarian) and sides consisting of Fries, Loaded Beef fries or Loaded Impossible fries for those who do not eat meat. There is a spicy version of the loaded fries for those with adventurous palates.

I went with my go-to order which is a double cheeseburger with everything and standard fries (two orders as I had to reward my friend for helping me with her suggestion. The gentleman at the register took my order quickly, asked for a name and I let them know I would leave a cash tip instead of on the card after I tapped to pay. He said that was fine. I waited at the table area closest to the register as there was no one else in that part of the dining area.

The food is prepared very efficiently by the employees in the kitchen. The order for the girls were ready and he walked the food to them and even stopped doing his soda inventory temporarily to help one of them open their Mexican coke (they have the tops you need to pop with a bottle opener). Very good customer service from what I observed. When my order was ready, the employee without even looking at me (looking at his phone) took the bag of food and held his arm out behind him as if he could not be bothered to look or talk to me. I politely took the bag and said thank you although a bit perplexed. I put some money in the tip jar/can before I left. Even though I got treated the way I did, it is good to know they treat other customers better and I hope the tip goes to the hard working employees at that location.

This place is super convenient for late night eats if you are in the area and good for groups. The smashed burger archetype that is popular in NYC really shines thru at 7th Street. The burger is very simple yet oh so good and the fries are best eaten right away (if time allows). Depending on the location, the service can vary depending on the attitude of the person on...

Lastnight there as a drunk employee behind the counter berating customers. I was waiting in the pick up line at about 2 am lastnight when I got to the front I said “hi I’m picking up for __” and an employee with a drink in hand then got in my face and was swaying on his feet and reeked of tequila, made me super uncomfortable how close he got to my face ( I wasn’t drinking and not expecting to have to deal with a drunk guy to get my burger) and then he said “ yeah didn’t think so” and I was like “I’m just here for a pick up” another employee, unphased by this guys behavior over heard me and grabbed my burger and gave it to me without even acknowledging how the drunk guy was acting. As I walked away the drunk guy yelled “Next time time you come in here you gotta not be so annoying. The only thing I ever said was that I was here for a pick up order. I love the food here and often my entire bar will have burger nights and order from 7th street but I won’t be back because the environment is aggressive. I’m in the service industry so I get that bad days happen but I’ve had experiences here where I never got my food and reached out by email with no response so I feel like I have to write a public review which is usually a last resort for me. Again the food is great and I’ve met the owner he seems nice, I don’t know why they allow the staff to treat...

Sup! I been going to 7th Street Burger for years and the Burgers are fire 🔥... I usually get the double cheeseburger without pickles because I eat like a 5 year old. The Burger and whatever sauce they put on it is just awesome sauce! Plus! You have to order the fries with the House Sauce! Like, it's just more Awesome sauce!...

I've been to both locations, the original 7th Street on 7th and A, and the 7th Street on Orchid Street by East Village... One time I ordered on Seamless at the 7th Street Burger located on 7th ... Unfortunately there was an error with my Seamless order, telling me that the order I put in was for the next day at noon instead of the evening that I've ordered 🙃... The manager was extremely nice and understanding that he fixed the error and I received that food the same evening...

I'll say this is probably currently my favorite Burger in NYC, every friend that I put on/introduced to this place lovesss the Burger!

Please! Do yourself a favor and please visit a 7th Street Burger that is located near you! And thank me later... You're welcome!

This is Swagzillia, and I approve...

been a longtime fan of Seventh Street Burger since they opened their OG spot in the east villages couple of years ago. the new location on Orchard Street is a bit roomier than other ones and is perfect location for Lower East Side post-drinking eats. the burgers are simple and to the point: well-seasoned beef patty/ies, grilled onions smashed in, melty American cheese, an acceptable amount of umami-ed burger grease soaking into the potato bun AND throw in some sliced pickles and a layer of flavorful house sauce equals one amazing burger. got a double cheeseburger, loaded fries, and a Sprite—I am still in calorie heaven since dinner, yesterday! while the burgers are the signature item—don’t sleep on the “loaded fries” —crispy French fries topped with a chopped burger patty, cheese, grilled onions, and the house sauce. wash that all down with a Sprite in a bottle which hits different. the staff is really friendly and down-to-earth.

I visited this place while in New York a couple of weeks ago! Just randomly found it and saw a couple of good reviews about the hype of it! I love a good burger so I had to give it a try! My food didn’t take long to come out! This was a delicious burger as is! I didn’t have to make modifications and I enjoyed the sauce without even tasting it first to see if I would like it! The fries were good and they gave you quite a bit. The food was flavorful and worth the money! It not very expensive for a burger and fries. Definitely not like an my chain food places’ burgers. I wanted to visit again but I was not in New York long enough. It’s definitely on my list of place to come back to when I visit again. It’s not like a sit down for a long time restaurant but a place to grab a quick burger and chat for a little while you eat. Def worth the hype, especially if you love burgers like I do!

7th Street Burger is a chain of quick, casual burgers throughout the NYC area. This location had a large standing area inside to stand and eat, as well as some spots outside. The menu is limited, sticking to the burger and fries as other locations do. The service was quick, understanding, and fast, as they not only brought the food to our table, but also looked up allergens to make sure that one of our allergic patrons could still eat. The burger, as with other locations, is a bit small, but affordable for the price. The burger was oily, but not too oily that it was overwhelming to eat. The flavors were quite good and flavorful for a small burger. Overall, a great place to get cheap burgers and fast service when you're in the city. However, I wouldn't come here if you were starving and wanted to fulfill your stomach.
