So glad we still went around 1PM today despite Google Maps initially showing that they were closed until 4PM. Would have gone to the East Village location and paid for it otherwise because I was already set to try it, but so happy that they were open. Apparently today's the first time they're opening at noon hence they still need to update their hours online, Eric thanked me for letting them know. He also quickly took our orders, we decided to both have double cheeseburgers, fries, and a bottle of coke each. Was told we'll have it in 5-10 mins but actually got it within 5 mins, these guys know how to treat their customers right. My husband/my plus one to the event also asked if we could upgrade one of our fries to loaded fries and asked how much we'd pay and they didn't even allow us to. Was surprised to see he still got the fries with his burger and loaded fries on the side. So generous and cool of them to do so. Gave them a generous tip.
Now to the main event, their burgers are banging! It's just sooo gooood, I actually am already dreaming of it, just 3 hours after. The brioche bun, onions, pickles and the house sauce with their patty, is just pure magic. As I thanked them when we were leaving, I said, easily one of the top 3 burgers in the city now! These guys will give other burger places a run for their money if they don't keep up. I feel like these guys will have more in store in the near future but for now, the simplicity of their current menu allows them the mastery of their stuff. Eric and the entire staff were also pretty cool and took great care of us. And they're playing fantastic music which makes you enjoy your food even more.
My highest recommendation! Cannot wait to come back again soon! And super thanks to Katey and the Yelp Manhattan Team, together with the 7th Street Burger team, one of the best Yelp Elite events in awhile! Will make sure my friends and my network knows where to get their...
Read moreI LOVED LOVED LOVED place!!!! To be honest, I was shocked by this place and I’ll explain why…
Let me tell you, the first thing that shocked me was the DELICIOUS smell coming from their kitchen when you step into the burger shop. Omg!!! It was like I was smacked from it!!! I love when all my senses activate by food and this was FOR SURE the occasion. Ok, great smell but let’s see how it actually tastes.
WOAAAAHHHH!!! Our palates were BLOWN AWAY!!!!! The burgers are not huge, they are more like “ShakeShack|5Guys” size, but the flavor was like 1000 times more!!!!!! Woahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They season the meat very good, I don’t know what they use but nothing was salty but it was salty enough for you to enjoy, if this explains what I mean… Every little bite contained an excellent mix of seasonings and flavor and spices, I was literally shocked and was not expecting such deliciousness from the burger or the fries. The Double cheeseburger was literally a BOMB of TASTINESS packed in a burger!!!!!!
We both got: Double cheeseburgers + “Loaded” Chopped beef fries + Water.
Their fries were also to die for!!!!!! I can’t STRESS this enough: THEIR FRIES WERE THE CRUNCHIEST FRIES I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! Woahhhhh!!!!!!
As soon as I took the first bite I called my sister and told her: “You have to try this place out!!!!!!!!!! Their burgers are not huge but they will make you drool and die instantly!!!”.
We’re burger fans and this place became my First choice for whenever I’m craving one, the flavorrrrrrrrrrrrrr was HEAVENLY!!!!! I can’t explain how good they were with enough words, mouthwatering, delectable, exquisite, all together!!!!!!
I CANT WAIT TO BE...
Read moreLooking for a burger joint that won't break the bank? Head on over to 7th Street Burgers on MacDougal St. The burgers are a decent size but won't leave you feeling stuffed like a turkey. Despite their smaller size, they're packed with flavor and feature tasty toppings like pickles, cheese, caramelized onions and a house-made sauce that'll make you want to lick your fingers (or the wrapper).
And let's talk about that bun - it's toasted to perfection and really takes the burger to the next level.
For those with bigger appetites, I highly recommend going for the double instead of the single burger. It's a bit more expensive, but the extra patty and toppings make it well worth it.
The fries are a standout here - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. And if you're a big eater, go for the double burger instead of the single. It's worth the extra cash for the extra patty and toppings.
Oh, and a shoutout to Kevin for being a friendly and prompt server. He's the burger MVP.
The only downside? The number of food couriers smoking outside the establishment. Some came into the restaurant smelling funky and taking up space. Not exactly the ideal dining companions. But hey, it's New York City - you never know what you're going to get.
Overall, 7th Street Burgers is a solid choice for a casual, tasty meal. And while the weed-smoking food couriers may be a bit of a buzzkill, the delicious burgers and fries more than make up for it. So go ahead and give it a try - just be prepared to deal with some funky smells on the way in or try their...
