Headline: Unbelievably Terrible Customer Service â Avoid at All Costs
If I could give zero stars, I would. This restaurant has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. To say âbad customer serviceâ would be an understatementâcustomer service doesnât even exist in their dictionary.
We were a family of four adults and three children (including toddler ), and there was no indication anywhereâon the menu, the door, or the counterâthat they had a mandatory $25 minimum order per person policy, including for small children.
When we tried to order meals for the four adults, the waitress insisted we place $25 orders for each children separately as well. We politely explained that our kids donât eat spicy Thai food and didnât need full meals, but she continued to pressure us to âjust order random thingsâ like drinks or appetizers.
The situation escalated when the owner, a man in a hat, intervened. Instead of addressing our concerns, he began lecturing us about how much money he âneeds to earn per table.â He even asked if he should fire his employees to make ends meet. This was beyond unprofessionalâit was insulting.
To make matters worse, the seating arrangement was subpar. They combined two small tables and provided tiny stools for the kids instead of proper chairs.
When I asked the owner to show me where this $25-per-person policy was stated, he couldnât provide proof. He then yelled at his staff, instructing them not to take our order unless we complied with his ridiculous demand.
To the owner: If youâre reading this, donât even try to claim this is a fake review. You know exactly what happened, and I have video evidence of the entire ordeal that I wonât be hesitate to share publicly.
This isnât the first review highlighting your unethical practices, and if this is how you operate, at least have the decency to post your policy on the door instead of embarrassing and harassing your customers.
Ultimately, we decided to leave, as we refused to support this kind of arrogance and poor treatment. We did place a small takeout order, but even the food was a massive disappointmentâbland, dry, and nowhere near the quality youâd expect from Thai cuisine.
As someone who travels extensively and loves Thai food, this was the worst experience Iâve ever had with both service and taste. Save your time, money, and dignityâthere are much better...
Read moreI am extremely distraught and mortified by the service I was given. I entered this restaurant while waiting for my friend to show and kindly asked for a table for two as we were celebrating his birthday. Even though the restaurant was empty, I was told to take a seat in a small waiting area âif I wanted,â despite me saying my friend was 1 minute away. When my friend showed a minute after I sat in the waiting area, we were then seated.
Our waitress was not welcoming whatsoever and rushed us for drinks, appetizers, and our meals. When ordering appetizers, I asked a question on the dumpling assortment of chicken, veggie, and shrimp dumplings as I am pescatarian and I simply wanted to know which dumplings had the chicken. The waitress was abrasive, diminutive, and condescending. She responded by repeatedly stating, âIt says right there chicken, veggie, and shrimp which means it comes with chicken, veggie and shrimp.â It was clear she did not understand my question and treated it as an inconvenience or as if I was too incompetent to understand when it was indeed her incompetence. She often snatched things out of our hands. Despite this rude encounter, I was still polite and respectful while receiving mediocre service.
We were rushed out of the establishment mid conversation by being asked if we were ready for boxes, and the restaurant was STILL empty⌠why the rush? When the check came out, my friend and I made the consecutive decision to tip 10%. We should not have tipped at all. She looked over to watch me put in the tip, and aggressively took my card out and took the time to put it on the table instead of right in my hand. Seems like she thought she deserved a better tip, she deserved 0%. Wish I could give 0 stars and I wish I got her name.
It is evident she was tired and drained from spreading her bad attitude on this beautiful Sunday and trying to bring her customers down and deliver a bad experience. Her day must have been so hard being so nasty and negative. I would not recommend you spend your hard earned money here, I would recommend Thai Villa or...
Read moreI was looking for a last minute reservation in the neighborhood for a Friday night for 7 adults and a baby, when our resso somewhere nearby didnât work out. I called the same morning, and they were able to accommodate for 5:30. They even called me about an hour beforehand to confirm and we asked to push it to 6, and they said it was fine but that our entire party had to be there in order to be seated. The restaurant is a little bit cramped and definitely not a good atmosphere for a 10-month old because itâs noisy. Plus, we were sat at the high tables but the high chair they provided was regular table height, so we couldnât even put the baby down. That being said, if you come with no babies and a small group, I think youâd be perfectly fine.
To start, we got the appetizer platter, where you can pick three apps for $22. We went with the calamari, chicken spring rolls, and shrimp dumplings. The calamari was good, but the chicken spring rolls were my favorite. Skip the shrimp dumplings. One of the apps came with some kind of spicy cilantro mayo (?), which I absolutely loved. So much so that I dipped some of the noodles from my entree in it. For my entree, I had the pad see ew with chicken. I kind of like their ordering system. Basically, all of their entrees are priced the same, depending on the protein you pick. So if you pick a tofu pad Thai, it will cost less than a shrimp pad Thai. But if you pick a shrimp pad Thai or a shrimp curry, theyâll be the same price. The noodles were good - not the best Iâve ever had but still great. I saw that they gave Khao Soi on the menu, which I donât see often. The spicy lemongrass fried rice sounded good too. Thatâs one of the things I appreciated about this place. This have the crowd-pleasers, but they also have some not so common dishes if you feel like spicing it up (literally).
Tip - donât forget to ask for the hot sauce. It comes in a trio - Thai sriracha, Thai sweet chili, and Thai...
