Okay, let's end the debate. I'm 13 and I'm traveling from Korea. But the hotel here doesn't provide water, so I had to buy it at another mart. I was looking for a water place very close by and found this place, and I visited this place every evening for the next 3 days to buy water. I thought the oldest person in the store and the person who helped us pay was very friendly until I saw this review. However, I was a little skeptical about the lack of price tags. The first night, 1 liter of water was 6.96I bought it for $10 and the service was very friendly (except that he recognized me as Chinese). The second day he gave me a bottle of water for $5 which I thought was really cool. However, the third day he asked me to pay $6.96 again. And after reading these reviews, I can see why he did this. I'm editing this review because I had a really shocking experience. I went to a local mart (nothing special) and they charged me about $3 for a liter of water (same as the one I bought here last time). But this deli charged me $7. I will never go there again. This place is really disappointing. It's not even...
Read moreThe owner is a racist. A group of friends and I came to this store to warm up and get some coffee before heading home (mind you, we are locals). It was a group of 8 and 5 of us got drinks. Because 3 of us did not get drinks, the owner said we all had to get out. He continued to badger my friends saying we were taking up space, meanwhile its 11pm on a friday night (when everyone else rather go to a club or restaurant) and the store was half empty. He then said we were blocking entry to his fridge, meanwhile no one came by where we were. He implied we were stupid and had to get out. He continued to harass my friends until we decided it was better not to alter the situation. I was so in shock... I was shocked to see this disgusting treatment being displayed. And if you don't think it wasn't racist.... a group of white girls were sitting behind us and he did not say a word to them. By the way, 5 of my friends were BLACK and a friend and myself are white hispanic. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAND UP AGAINST THIS RACIST PERSON BY NOT...
Read moreWe went to this place each night during our two-night stay across at Sheraton hotel and the service was terrible. First night we came way before the closing time the old guy (probably the owner) at the front counter denied us entry to sit for dine in with a rude attitude. The second night, we came earlier for dine in and no one greeted us. The same old guy only give us a miserable look when we asked to purchase desserts. The old guy greeted the next few customers with 'welcome' and 'how are you', which we certainly did not experience except for a few glances. My family ordered the desserts and I brought some street food from another place. AND the old guy rushes towards me and says 'customers only' and I just sat there watching my food even though we ordered $30+ desserts from this place. Unfortunately, the strawberry cheesecake was delicious and the chef who served us was good with the recommendations but horrible experience overall, do not recommend this place if they are gonna be prejudice against certain...
