Abe’s Pagoda is an amazing place nearby that always reminds me of home (Florida) the atmosphere is reminiscent of an Asian inspired genre of tiki, which shows the owners are educated enthusiasts! I’ve never written a review but I feel I have to! I love this place!

The staff, is a bit of your run of the mill bushwick bartenders, which isn’t bad! They make good/strong drinks! They just aren’t really interested in much “tiki talk” or really educated on it as much, one time I asked for a zombie and one of the bartenders didn’t know how to make it even though they make a virgin version on their menu haha! They are very nice and very friendly though!! And some do make great conversation regardless!

The food genuinely brings me to tears, I get the chicken bowl everytime, it always has amazing presentation! It’s the one thing I can get in NYC that reminds me of the food at home, Id like to see more Polynesian food! I’d also love if they’d put more pasta in and less rice but that’s a personal preference haha! All of their food and drink is top notch!

Thanks to the owners for having a tiki bar...

I don’t come here often. This bar can be pretty cool but I’ve been noticing a pattern with one of the bartender’s working tonight. He’s always extremely rude off the bat and tried not to serve me and other people of color multiple times, on different occasions. All of this while treating non-people of color with respect and good service. The time before this he almost ruined our friend’s celebration before it even started. Its like if you’re brown all you have to do is appear for him to get upset and straight up nasty. I’m not sure what’s going on here but tonight made me feel pretty sure that he is racist. Sad that this is being allowed in an establishment in Brooklyn. For reference, he was wearing a white t-shirt that said “all hail (something I couldn’t see)”. I didn’t even realize that until after I wrote this. Won’t be visiting again any time soon, and if you’re like me I suggest you...

Absolutely love this place! It was my first time visiting this pat Sunday with my best friend for my be-lated birthday celebration and I loved it!!! The food was so delicious and the drinks strong and flavorful. They have some great specials during happy hour which I fully took advantage of $1 wings per piece. I had the Spicy gojuchang wings so good! And they do thie frozen tiki drinks for $8 I had the pain killer. We shared the loaded tater tots and OMG when I tell you I have never tasted anything like those tots!! Foodgasm!!! They were loaded with these deliciously marinated chunks of meatballs, scallions cilantro, fresh avocado different types of melted savory cheese and sauce do it!!!! You need it in your life I believe the same can be done for the French fries. Prices are great and service is awesome. This will be a regular hang out for me and my...

Been waiting nearly a year for this place to open & it's better than I expected! Great vibe & ambiance, looks like a varied & interesting selection of alcohol, cocktails, and beers. Prices are quite reasonable. I've tried the Thai risotto balls & wasabi deviled eggs which were both delicious and the rest of the menu sounds great too. Lots of places to sit and 2 pool tables in the back. Visited twice in their first week and I'll certainly be back many more times. Chatted briefly with the owner on opening night (he was bartending) and he seems like a chill guy, all the staff I've interacted with so far have been quite nice. A+ No reason for me to go to Carmelo's anymore ;-)

I recently visited Abe's in BK and if you are the type(like myself) that often enjoys a hidden gem with a moody interior, great drink variety, amazing pricing, and a the ability to be a tucked away or in the mix I havent found many places above ground that gives what Abe's Pagoda does. Food I would definitely recommend their spicy wings as a future go to for me on my next visit and cocktail wise I would pair it with the Smooth Operator. For something that's really good solo and will get you there my vote is for both The Zombie or The Jungle bird. They also do have a strong coffee cocktail I will also say try at least once when you go!

We decided to grab drinks here on a weekday after many, many mentions about how much of a vibe this spot was. Located in Bushwick (close to a station I may add) Abe’s Pagoda is definitely a vibe. Ambient red lighting, a big bar, and enough seating in the front and the back to go with a group this spot seems to check all the boxes for a laid back bar. It also boasts a kitchen that makes a variety of dishes. For this trip we tried the fries and their glazed cauliflower. Five stars all around. Drinks were reasonably priced and staff were very attentive. Come here for a laid night back with friends or that special someone.
