AFRIDI Halal Food Cart — Restaurant in New York

This place is amazing & WAY better than Sami's halal in Jackson heights. We came for our first time & Afridi gave us a sampler before ordering which was simply phenomenal. The meat is succulent, the spices & the aroma from the grilled onions mixed with the rice create a salivating experience that you have to taste to believe . We ordered a chicken platter, a lamb platter, chicken & lamb combo as well as a chicken & lamb combo with extra meat and each one was simply amazing. The portions are so big, especially with the extra meat , that I could only eat half ( normally I can eat one and half at Sami's). Then let's not forget about the white sauce, hot sauce and the best kept secret, green sauce! This green sauce, with a hint of coriander, is far superior to Sami's green. Don't get me wrong, I love Sami's. But now I will only eat Afridi's. The white sauce and hot sauce are stars as well. The hot sauce provides the right combination of heat and spice, versus other places where the hot sauce is just burning off my beloved taste buds .

Between the customer Service , Quality of the meat & rice , Quantity in each platter & an explosion of Taste, please give this man a Vendy's award ASAP. And all of this for $8?! Is that even legal?

SO incredibly good and for a cheap price too!! My partner and I ordered the chicken and lamb over rice and the chicken tikka over rice. Each order had a lot of food and each container was quite heavy as we were walking to where we were going to eat so it's a great deal.

Taste wise the chicken and lamb was amazing and well seasoned; personally after tasting both for the first time I prefer the lamb but the chicken was good too and still juicy. All the sauces were amazing but I wish mine was a touch spicier so I think I'd ask for more red sauce next time. The chicken was spicy and had an great flavor that complimented the sauces well but I still think I prefer the lamb. I've never visited this establishment personally. That said, a colleague constantly raves about the food and, because most of your reviews are incredibly positive, I work nearby and I've driven to the place numerous times over the past 2-3 weeks ; however, the food truck was "MIA" each and every time (even though the website advises that the place is open for business at the time I've visited. Unfortunately, I've been frequently duped regarding availability (I've also called the listed phone #, and every time it goes straight to vm. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS ACTUALLY TRUE???!!! I've visited over the past 2-3 weeks, but there remains "no presence," and I'm far beyond frustrated at this juncture.....would appreciate any...
