Ahmani's Jus Juice — Restaurant in New York

I would love to give this place a 5 because the food is delicious and the options are fantastic. HOWEVER....the service is TERRIBLE. You are suppose to go to the window and order and pay before they begin to fill your order. There is only a small sign to tell you this on the wall. I sat at the counter for the first time for 16 minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence as a customer and I sat at the counter for the second time for about 12 minutes again before I was acknowledged and reminded to place my order at the counter. Today is the third time I’ve visited, I ordered two sandwiches and a drink. The woman who was supposed to make my sandwich played on her cell phone for about eight minutes before she even BEGAN to make my sandwiches. The gentleman washed, cut up vegetables and almost completely finished my drink before she even stopped using her phone and started to make my sandwich. There was no sense of urgency. I was a PAYING customer who had just spent $22 at their establishment. I did not feel welcomed as a customer to say the least. If you want good food with great service this is not the place to go. Unfortunately many black businesses will not grow because of this very reason. I would rather give my money to a white or Hispanic establishment with Mediocre food but that makes me feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer. I would absolutely go there again but I would definitely lower my expectations as far as service calls just for a delicious meal which saddens me because I like to support black owned businesses but find it very difficult to support them on a regular basis because of the poor unfriendly customer service which is the norm in the...

My first time entering the spot, because a friend suggested their food is great.. I have had better.. The woman behind the counter charging for th orders has no customer service skills at all.. Told my friend I cursed at her, and I had an attitude. All because when she asked me how I was paying, I told her with a card, then I saw a .99 cent charge added to my bill.. I simply asked her so you charge your customers to use their credit card instead of the business owner paying for it?" She said ( "the customar is suppose to pay for it") I said no no you the business is suppose to.pay for.the usage of the cc.. Poor customar service, she never said thank you.. she jut gave me a receipt and walked away... I am going there tomorrow and tell her about herself for lying on me.. She is horrible for doing that. The restaurant is a modern and healthy spin for this neighborhood. I didn't try the raw juice or smoothies, but the smoothie menu looked interesting. Someone obviously put a lot of thought into it. I did have the tilapia sandwich, and I thought it was tasty. It could have used a little more salt, but you can add your own. The produce was fresh, and the fish wasn't greasy. They may bake it. I will definitely go back. They also serve salads. Unfortunately, naming it Jus Juice implies that they don't serve food. They should display their food menu more prominently in the window or make a larger sign stating...
