New York Hidden Gem 🌹 A Heartfelt Thai Restaurant

New York Hidden Gem 🌹 A Heartfelt Thai Restaurant

The food was fine, but I’ve never seen a restaurant so blatantly trying to rip off its customers. We ordered spring rolls listed at $7.95 on the menu. However, when the check arrived, we were charged $11.75. When we asked for an explanation, they said the price was for three spring rolls. Since we had five people, they decided to give us five “for the table” and increased the price without consulting us. If we had been informed, we would have been fine getting three and keeping the menu price. Additionally, the restaurant imposed a mandatory 20% tip, which wasn't clearly specified anywhere, despite us only having five people. When we tried to split the bill among friends, we realized they had tricked us. The receipt showed a total of $152.59, a discounted cash total of $147.43, and a $5.16 cash saving. However, our food total, plus tax and the mandatory 20% tip, came to $147.43. This means that paying by credit card incurs an extra $5.16 charge, rather than a discount for paying cash. We chose this place based on its decent Google reviews, but we were thoroughly disappointed. I wonder how many people don’t read their bills closely and get ripped off without knowing. I will NEVER go there again and wouldn’t recommend it to ANYONE. Honesty should be a business's top priority, but this restaurant is blatantly dishonest.

Aiyara Thai was absolutely wonderful. The ambience was delightful. My husband and I came around 8pm on a Saturday night, and were seated immediately at a comfortable table that had booth and chair seating. Our server, Pong, was absolutely fantastic. He was polite, respectful, kind, and anticipated everything we might need for a great dining experience - from small plates for us to share our main entrees from, and additional spoons so we could eat our rice. I haven’t even gotten to the food!!! IT WAS DIVINE! The Tom Yum soup and Tom Kha soup were flavorful, delicious and made spicy as I requested (beware of requesting spicy, they will deliver on it! Ask for chili flakes on the side instead - lesson learned). We loved the drunken noodles with shrimp and the green curry with chicken as well! We even had the Thai Iced Tea and it wasn’t overly sweet, which we loved. Dinner totally hit the spot, the entrees were a generous quantity, and great service! We will be back! Thank you Pong!

Well it was through a fellow Eurasian sister Maria Bernadis Ali who is originally from the sister Republic of Greece that picked this particular Asian Indo-Chinese gourmet restaurant for our reciprocated interconnection when she was here in the Greater New York City metropolitan area territory upon sitting along the little island right outside the subsidiary Gourmet Deli serving our feather creature brothers / sisters Crow Rock Pigeon / House Sparrow / Starling Birds that catalysis for such social engagement where she chose it because of it’s specific convenience geographically plus price leverage where she covered the costs via either with a credit / debit card where we are health conscious order a vegetarian dish to consume with a option to finish it outside of it’s jurisdiction where it’s typically very Eastern like from chopsticks utensils to it’s interior design plus it’s proprietary utilizes traditional Woks for preparation well...
