AMA LA VITA — Restaurant in New York

The Mescuna salad was nice, the pizza was below average. Didn’t come with the pesto inside ordered. The waiter tova is nice, but she went on about her views on god/religion which I didn’t need to be here and misgendered. The owner was espousing his pro-Israel / anti Zohran politics. And then I heard say to another worker nearby homophobic epiteths. For $50 for a pizza, salad & a chai latte isn’t worth the experience, for expensive kosher food, where I can get much better dignified...

I had such a lovely little adventure today. I was looking for my usual coffee spot but couldn’t find it, so I stepped into a random place because I urgently needed coffee. As I paid, I looked up and saw Birkat Hamazon on the wall — turns out I had stumbled into a kosher café!

Yosef was so warm and hospitable, I instantly felt at home — almost like being back in Israel for a moment. The biscotti was absolutely wonderful.

Ama La Vita is such a gem in Chelsea! The vibe is modern but still has that warm Italian charm that makes you want to hang out and stay a while. The coffee is excellent, but honestly, the pizza is the real star — fresh, flavorful, and straight-up delicious.
