I read the response from the management of this bar and while I appreciate the offer to give this place a second chance, there is no way I am going to return after my initial horrible experience; I just can’t take the chance of a repeat! Thanks anyway. ...Stopped in fairly early on St. Patrick’s Day afternoon to a very crowded and loud bar with a very unfriendly sounding bartender; a well drink is nine dollars and they have a $25 minimum even for blind people who can’t use cash! Certainly not spending a dollar in this dump!! This is a very unfriendly atmosphere for the blind and other disabled people; I highly recommend that anyone in such a condition avoid this location! The real New York.

Called in here for a break after a day of walking around the Village. Loved it. It was pretty much deserted when we got there but the bar tender was still on it, attentive and friendly, going about his jobs until we were ready to order.

The place is what I dearly love about New York. Not trying to be anything it isn't (nobody in their right mind could call it flashy!), but oozing character, history, charm, you can only imagine the tales from here if you're lucky enough to be a regular.
