My wife and I's long standing disagreement on which cheese is best, Cheddar (I thought this was obvious), or American Cheese, has been won. And it is American Cheez.

This has been our new favorite bar. We first went just before covid started back in the normal times. We had a great time inside, played some pinball, watched some sports, drank some beers. And enjoyed the crowd. The bartenders and owner are all great to talk to too.

Since covid, they've got great outside seating on a nice corner that has become a fixture of our weekends. The draft beer is always cold and at a good price. We struggle to find good west coast (non juicy) IPA's on draft, and they always have Lagunitas IPA.

On the weekends, their $5 thin crust pizza is supreme. You can get a similar pizza elsewhere for $12-14 dollars and be less satisfied. It is frankly a problem for the ongoing battle of "can I still fit in my pants". Respect to their pizza maker. We love you man.

The best week was during early voting. We sat outside having a beers, watching all the voters in line, biding our time for when the line was short. Not a lot of work got done that week by us, but we had a great,...

This is definitely a dive bar. We met some friends here. There were lots of board games, which one could play with friends in the bar. There was an over sized, huge movie screen with a movie playing. And the best part of the trip to this bar was that we each received a free, plate size pizza with every drink we ordered. We had four beers and 4 pies. I believe the very friendly bartender told us that it is customary for each patron to receive 1 pie with your first drink. It was very cozy, and small. There was a large crowd when we got there. Lots of fun. There was a lot of street parking. It looked like most of the patrons were from the neighborhood. We had a fun time. And the prices were reasonable. We...

I was invited to American Cheez by the lovely staff that cooks the most amazing personal pizza pies you’ve tried. It is located across the street from Lore, right off of 7th avenue & 15th street. I tried the delicious small specialty pizza pie called Fungus Amungus, its parmesan cheese, white sauce, and mushrooms. Super tasty, they have a variety of selections. American Cheez is also a full bar, with a wide variety of beverages, beer, and mixed drinks. Every Wednesday night at 9pm is karaoke night. Good for couples, friends, and late night hang outs. Come on by, enjoy a drink, watch some sports, chat with your besties, and...

Just yes. $5 pizza that is insanely tasty dominos-y (I mean this in a great way, it’s just salty enough that it hits the spot in the best way possible). I genuinely feel like this pizza has been engineered because it’s so dang good. I always grab a Down East Cider here. Love enjoying the ambiance, blending in, and the occasional round of Jenga. Perfect for a cold winter night when you need something to do, or literally any night at all just because.
