I wish Google would allow negative stars!!! Took a chance and will regret it for life! I wasn't expecting caviar, but Jesus! The food was poorly cooked, very badly seasoned, the chicken wings were so far away from what you think a chicken wing should taste like, I had to throw them out. Out of hunger and $20.00 bucks lost, I suffered through the sad imitation of house special rice and the dried, over cooked, semi burnt (God knows how old) spare ribs tips. For the people who gave good reviews here... I wonder how is that even possible? This couldn't be a one off bad experience, even on an off day things can't go this wrong, I feel like I got pranked or scammed. This is not personal I simply hope no one who comes from work tired and hungry has to sit down looking forward to a meal after a long NYC work day just to be so immensely disappointed! If you read this and still up for a try... God bless your sense of adventure and bravery....

Then I ordered the lunch special, chicken w/ string beans and custom order light sauce instead of the gravy, and some pork fried rice. The portions were generous and tasty, vegetables just right, not overcooked. I just went again today for lunch. I started with an order of steamed pork dumplings and as I supected, they were terrific. These are gourmet dumplings...no joke. Also ordered chicken w/broccoli and it was perfect, just a little snap to the veggies. It's a good place, I stop by whenever I'm working uptown, and I recommend it to do if...
Read moreAmy’s Restaurant is a true hidden gem! I first started ordering from here over 15 years ago, and to this day, whenever I’m in the area—or just craving really good, non-greasy Chinese food—Amy’s never disappoints. Their quality has stayed consistent over the years, which is rare to find. My go-to is always the House Fried Rice—perfect flavor, fresh ingredients, and never oily. I recently tried their mix of dumplings (pork, chicken, and veggie), and all three were delicious, but the veggie dumpling really stood out for me. It was packed with flavor and so fresh. Highly recommend Amy’s if you want tasty, dependable Chinese food made...
