Enjoyed a nice Sunday dinner with my boyfriend! First, the hostess greeted us immediately and placed us in a booth. The waitress was very attentive and our food came out at a perfect time. The atmosphere was very warm and comfortable. Great vibes all around nothing to complain about. Second, the bread that came out was delicious. The ricotta and honey with pepper on top hit the right spots. Lovely bread as well, great texture and fresh. Third, our appetizers! The Caesar salad was delicious but a bit fishy. I squeezed some lemon in there and it neutralized the flavors. It was a simple salad with a great dressing to lettuce ratio. The meat riceballs were a 10/10. Crunchy and soft in the middle with a great taste. We also enjoyed the fried potato’s on the side, not sure what they were but they were a great surprise! Next, our entrees. The spaghetti with lobster was very good. Everything was cooked well and the taste was perfect. However, the chicken cutlet was a bit underwhelming. Still a good cutlet but wish it came with a little more. Last but not least, our dessert! Absolutely delish tiramisu served in a creative way. Very creamy and full of delicious flavors. The crunchy cookies on top were a fab addition. Coffee was pretty standard we enjoyed it. Overall, I would definitely come check this place out! Our bill added up to $113 which is a great price for good quality food. Thank you Angelina’s for a lovely Sunday...
Read moreI’ll start off by saying this restaurant is great, has great food, staff and the overall vibe is what has had me and my fiancé coming back for years. Why the 1* review?
This restaurant could give two spits about their customers. During the pandemic with Deblasio and the governor enforcing lockdowns and mandates on the restaurant industry the ones who survived did so by the grace of their customers. We ordered take out and did the outdoor dining when it was allowed.
Now with the ‘Keys to NYC’ push (a mandate not law by the way) instead of having a backbone and standing with their customers and not discriminating people based off health choices, we were greeted with a cutesy note of ‘for indoor dining please show proof of vaccination. Not our rules, please be friendly to our hostess!’ Our hearts sunk seeing this and it was confirmed by the hostess who said ‘but you can eat outdoors!’
Thanks, but no thanks. No restaurant will treat us as leapers and have us eat outside like dogs and get to receive payment for the pleasure.
I will never return to this establishment which ironically is an Italian restaurant with Italian owners who should be familiar with the segregation placed on their own community when they fled Mussolini’s tyranny for America.
I guess history can be forgotten. Well when these mandates no longer apply, rest assured we won’t forget....
