Was walking by and saw the pretty pastries so I decided to stop in and grab a few. Got a little raspberry croissant, raspberry bombolone, and a filled strawberry cookie. The pastries were fine, a like 6/10. The jam in the croissant was kinda overwhelming, like I just put a full spoon of jam into my mouth. My partner and I decided to get tea because it was so cold outside. I got a matcha, he got a raspberry tea. For $3.50, he was handed a cup of hot water and pointed towards the box of tea bags on the counter. They didn’t even have the tea he had ordered. I could’ve gone to nearly any bodega or starbucks and gotten a free cup of hot water and paid $3.50 for an entire box of the average grocery store teas they offered. The barista didn’t really give me an answer as to where we could get the actual tea we ordered. The matcha I ordered was basically just slightly flavored oat milk. it wasn’t even green. the overall customer service was also odd, they all seemed to annoyed we were in there. i’m literally a barista so i 100% get not being thrilled with the job all the time but come on, you never wanna make your customers feel like an inconvenience. figure out your tea situation it’s lowkey embarrassing to charge so much for what we got. 1 mini croissant, 1 bombolone, 1 cookie, a small cup of hot water (tea?), a medium matcha came out to $28. the city is expensive...

Ambiance: It’s a really cute place and I love the set up. It’s somewhere I’d want to come and get a cup of coffee while I enjoyed my dessert. They’ve don’t a great job with the decor and even had a nice set up specific to Valentine’s Day.
Food: I got a mini pistachio croissant. I love that they had full sized and mini croissants. The pistachio croissant was really good and unique. It was stuffed with a pistachio crème which really enhanced the flavor of the croissant. I also like that they had crushed pistachios on top. We also got the coconut cake. It’s the perfect size for just one person. The cake had a lot of coconut flakes in it. It wasn’t artificial flavoring and it had a nice consistency. I also like that it came with a small plastic plate with an area that allows you to pick it up easily. Overall the baked items were yummy but I’m not sure if this is my go to spot as there are some other excellent bakeries in the area.
Service: service was quick and everyone was nice.
Price: it’s fairly reasonably priced and comparable to most bakeries. I like that they have mini sizes as well as normal sizes so you can try multiple things if you want.

Read moreFood: lemon merengue tart was okay, as per my partner, tiramisu was okay, nothing to write home about. I also had a turmeric latte the other day and did not really like it. I really wanted to find something I love in this bakery because it would be a treat to have something nice after ballet (right next door), but yet to find it.
Experience: whoever was the manager skipped me and another person to attend to these two families who were behind us in line, could be a misunderstanding, but it was uncomfortable watching her then point right at us and tell the staff to go attend to us while they are attending to other costumers. In other bakeries one staff takes an order and completes it, here this manager was making things confusing and pushing employees around (employees appeared a bit stressed, must be bc of her tbh, but they were very sweet and efficient despite being pushed around). My feedback would be to do what other bakeries do and be kind and patient with your staff so that everyone feels comfortable. Bakeries and cafes are usually a place where we go to grab something sweet and feel comfortable and that certainly did not feel like it. But I might come again and try something else...
