I recently had the pleasure of visiting Calo Studio Hair Salon, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The salon has a chic and modern ambiance, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Carlos, the hairstylist, is truly brilliant at his craft. He took the time to listen to my hair goals and provided expert advice on the best style for my hair type and face shape. He executed the style with precision, and the end result exceeded my expectations. I walked out of the salon feeling like a new person, with a hairstyle that turned heads at the event and made me feel confident and fabulous!

But that's not all - Claudia, the makeup artist at Calo Studio, is exceptional in her skills. She has an eye for detail and a keen sense of style. She took my makeup look to the next level, enhancing my natural features and creating a stunning look that complemented my hair style and dress perfectly. I was amazed by how she transformed my face and made me feel like a celebrity ready for the red carpet and awards event that I had that night!

Not only are Carlos and Claudia extremely talented, but they also made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire process. They listened to my preferences and tailored their services to my needs, making sure I was satisfied with the results.

My hairdresser of 8 years moved away and I needed a new go-to salon that is convenient to work, flexible hours, efficient and affordable as I get my greys colored every 3-4 weeks. When I called around, the owner, Carlos, happened to answer and, humbly, did not identify himself but said they (he) would take care of me. It’s been 12 months now and I am SO happy with my hair! But more importantly, I am extremely happy with the salon, staff and service Carlos provides. My single process grey coloring had become too dark brown, not natural looking at all. Carlos recommended highlights but knew I was very worried about the damage to my fine thin hair and was careful to do it slow and easy. I also didn’t want to be spending the money on highlights every few months. He’s recommended only 6-9 months for the look I’m going for and it’s been perfect, adding in an occasional toner whereas my old stylist did a toner every visit ($). His haircuts are great too. To help with the frizz from highlights and my naturally wavy hair, he recommended the Brazilian blow out but again wasn’t pushing it for frequent maintenance. The online booking tool is easy and convenient. They never over book and I’m not sitting around waiting. I love the styling from his whole team (I add in a wash and blow dry whenever I can!). The entire team is friendly, caring and take great pride in their work (including the washes and the receptionist). It seems like they really like to work at Calo. Carlos also happens to be fun to chat with about travel, interior design, family, etc - a bonus when when you sit in the chair for a while! I even had to bring my 6 year old once and no one gave me a single glance or side eye about it. I truly love this place and hope Carlos...

I had been on the hunt for a full-service hair salon with flexible scheduling and expertise in cutting and coloring Asian hair when I discovered Calo in my neighborhood about a year ago. I've been getting a foilage and long-layered haircut with angles from Patricia for my past few appointments and each time she improves my style and I leave feeling more confident than ever. My hair is naturally long, thick and frizzy and, by the time I came in for my latest appointment, was also damaged and dry from overheating and the color from my prior foliage had gotten brassy. I knew I was presenting Patricia with a challenge but also trusted that if anyone can fix it, it's her.

Long story short, Patricia exceeded my expectations in every way! The color blend is natural and vibrant and the cut frames my face perfectly. Patricia took the time to listen to what I wanted (which involved creating a customized color that she mixed perfectly) and gave me helpful suggestions to enhance the final look. I tend to get nervous before hair appointments especially when it comes to making noticeable changes, but I felt completely at ease in Patricia's chair. She is kind, warm, friendly and patient. She took the time to check in with me before cutting my layers to make sure I was happy with the varying lengths. I've gotten so many compliments already!

The salon itself is cute, welcoming and easy to get to from all transit stations. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-tier coloring and styling at reasonable prices for the area.
