this is my first time to comment on a shop, but I cannot help doing it due to the worst experience today I needed to endure. First of all, I was a huge fun of this chain, and was a regular customer in Tokyo and KL. That was the first time to buy Beard Papa's cream puffs in NY. Here I bought 4 regular cream puffs and a 6 mini puffs. It turned out that those puffs were squeezed into one box. I said to a shopkeeper, I guess the same person who was commented in a different review, that these were meant to be gifts and requested for two boxes, which was duly denied by her. she said she would arrange two paper bags instead, and, needless to say, those six mini puffs in one bag and the other FOUR regular puffs in ONE bag. How could normal people accept those crushed cream puffs with spilled cream all over inside a paper bag as a decent gift! I believe normal customers are ready to pay for gift boxes if necessary and offered. I understand that there should be a different way of running business in Tokyo and here in the US. But, honestly I am so disappointed at that service since I probably wrongly expected the same level of service under the Japanese brand. I needed to run for a different sweets shop to buy an appropriately packed present right after it. It is indeed sad to see that a popular Japanese brand is managed in that manner. I sincerely hope that there will be no other customers who...

Passed by the store today and the Buy 2 get 1 Free (because of Chinese New Year) caught my attention. The place smelled good so I was excited to try it. I ordered Green Tea with strawberry, Dulce de Leche with green tea and a Creme Brulee. I think the store was backed up on orders because i see people waiting for it. After some time, they handed me my puffs and I left the store and tried it out.

I was so disappointed when i tried to feel the puffs.. it seemed that they have been baked and has been sitting there for quite some time. I felt bad cause I just witnessed freshly baked ones in the store while I was waiting there.

They got my order wrong. They gave me Green Tea with green tea filling.. but since I already took a bite, and the place seemed busy, it was fine with me. it was just too bad that I didn't get to taste the strawberry one that I think I saw someone recommend in the reviews.

Overall, I think it was still nice and I can see why...

Okay for dessert if you want something messy and not overly sweet.

Was eyeing the local food and saw this place. Stopped in to get two cream puffs to try.

At the restauranteur's suggestion, got an original with vanilla filling, since its supposedly very popular. I then tried a smores with vanilla ice cream filling for an extra $1.50 on top of the ~$4.50 price.

Maybe there is a flavor combination here that blows the rest away, but its not evident by the menu. The combination of flavors and fillings can be overwhelming so someone not familiar with the brand. The original cream puff was just too bland. The smore's was ok with the ice cream, but definitely needs utensils to eat or else the shell topping smears all over your face.

Could be for you, but not for me. Not a whole lot of places in that specific area to impulse buy $4-6 desserts, but I'll...

Came here to get some cream puffs. The process was very quick (during this covid pandemic). You wait outside in a line and then when its your turn you can go in and order ur cream puffs. The preparation process is rather quick and the cream puffs r freshly filled by the order. I got their strawberry cream puff with matcha custard, their creme brulee cream puff, a regular one, an eclair puff and their... crispy almond puff(?...forgot the name). Most of their creme puffs have the choice of either vanilla, matcha or chocolate custard in it. All were really good, especially the almond one and the creme brulee one. The strawberry one and the eclair puffs were on the sweeter side tho, due to the strawberry chocolate/chocolate dip. Overall, I would come here again for cream puffs 👍.
