Before Coffee — Restaurant in New York

While visiting New York stumbled upon this lovely little coffee shop on my way to the train 🍵

🍓 the strawberry matcha was divine. Imagine your favorite hq matcha meets the strawberry milk of your childhood dreams. They get happily married and make this insanely delicious treat. I wish i could teleport this back to my local coffee shop in Chicago. Definitely get this. Promise that it’s the perfect balance of sweet and earthy.

👯‍♂️👯‍♀️ during the early morning rush this place is TIGHT. Not much space to wait for your coffee but luckily enough the turnaround time was quick and the overall disposition of the coffee cravers was lovely.

🥐 i got a everything filled croissant from the case and holy moly, crispy crunchy and buttery. It was a bit messy to eat (no complaints), but was a bit too overstuffed with cream cheese (slight complaint). Nothing getting better with a croissant and latte to start a day. I read the reviews for this cafe and wonder if it is worth to give it a try. I ordered a latte, almond croissant and an egg tart to share with my friend. Oh my! The egg tart was soft and creamy not hard at all. The croissant was fluffy and with bold almond flavor. We enjoyed them till the last bite. We decided to have a second visit a day after. I ordered the strawberry match latte this time, it was fabulous! It blended matcha’s bitterness ( not strong ) with a hint of strawberry, this combination refreshed my taste buds and made my day well. I’ve been to every single coffee shop in a 2 mile radius all the way from here to domino park - I can rank about 50 nearby into tiers

The espresso is legit and flavorful,

every single type of coffee bev I’ve gotten here whether it be a espresso grapefruit tonic, seasonal spiced toki latte, or more traditional drinks like cortados, lattes, flat whites, etc has been fantastic

Super consistent always fantastic - never watery, never burnt, never too milky or too sweet - an artisan

The egg tarts are out of this world - best I’ve ever had - huge, buttery and flakey - I pick one up every single time I show up

The dude is dope, super nice and curates a good environment and music
