I had the pleasure of taking a knife skills class during opening week. Erika at Chop Cook Cake is such a delight! I was so engaged throughout the class, I nearly forgot about taking the pictures I wanted for this review. Erika’s expertise and passion is palpable just by looking around the space she has curated, and even more so when she begins to speak. The space is filled with top-notch equipment. I was there for the knives class, but I couldn’t take my eyes off the line of gorgeous Kitchen Aid mixers. Needless to say, I look forward to future baking classes! I left genuinely mind blown. I absolutely underestimated how useful the class would be for a self-taught homecook like myself. The tips I learned will change my meal prep process for good. Erika has such a warm personality, fitting for a hands-on educator. When she mentioned she earned an education degree before attending culinary school, it all made sense. I loved the cake decorating class at Chop Cook Cake in East Williamsburg. Classes are taught by owner Erika, who was super knowledgeable and patient, and did a great job showing examples for all the students. We learned how to ice, pipe and decorate these mini cakes, and were given many options for icing and sprinkles. You could really use your imagination and make such cute creations!

We had a couple and a group of girls celebrating a birthday in the class. This seems perfect for date night or girls activity! Erika was sharing other classes they have (dinner and a movie, pasta making, pizza making) and I can't wait to come again for another...

Chef Erika is THE best! We decided to have our holiday party here and it couldn't have been a better choice! It was well organized, clean and we were welcomed by the warmth of Chef Erika, like we were in her home. The hands on experience of making our dinner allowed everyone to participate, fostering a sense of teamwork and shared accomplishment. It was catered to everyone's level of comfort in the kitchen and both seasoned cooks and kitchen novices all had something to take away from the experience!
