Just stopped in here for drinks so I can't give a well rounded review about the entire place, but, what I did experience was great!
The happy hour specials were really good (we got 2 bottles of wine for $44) and the selection was pretty good! There were also a decent amount of small dishes for happy hour that all sounded great. The space was intimate in that it was dark and cozy, but still pretty crowded with people in and out the entire time that we were there!
Unfortunately, there was only one bartender/waiter (as in one person doing everything), and my two friends who arrived before me were a little disappointed that they felt rushed when ordering and wanted to wait for me to arrive, but the waiter/bartender said he had to get to all of the tables, which should not have been our issue to deal with. Maybe they were short-staffed when we went or maybe that's how it always is, but that's not the best note to start off on!
Otherwise, the service was good after that and I'd definitely...
Read moreThis review is to reflect the service only. Went a couple of nights ago and our server, Bonny M., was quite possibly the rudest waiter I’ve ever had. Upon taking our order for wine, I asked “can I have x, y, z, etc…” and he goes “I don’t know, can you?” in the snarkiest manner, insinuating my grammar was incorrect. Later in the night we were asking for clarity on the cheese plates and he managed to give yet another extremely condescending response. It should be noted no one in our party ever spoke to him rudely or did anything to prompt this. Of course gratuity was automatically included which might explain his lack of hospitality, but regardless this experience was bad enough to make me hesitant to ever return to Bibi (even though I love the wine and ambiance so much). If anyone from management is reading this, PLEASE consider speaking with this server as I’m certain I’m not the only customer who’s...
Read moreHeaded into Bibi at a time unknown this week and was greeted by bartender Lou. A man of many talents and good looks (part time actor?), he suggested I step out of my comfort zone and order a rosè — a logical next step to my unwavering Rieslings and Chardonnays orders. Staring into that cherubic face that I suspect reads deceitfully older than he looks, how could I say no!? One glass turned to three and then to four before I remembered I had a life-or-death interview in the morning about the fate of a misunderstood high schooler/graffiti artist whose proposed punishment far outweighed the trivial “crime”. (Who among us has not tagged the trees outside our schools with mildly offensive sayings? Not I) I headed home after getting one of Lou’s signature winks as I walked out the bar. Excellent wine, excellent charcuterie, excellent service....
