Completely turned off, by a pizza shop I have been to many times. Especially since I’ve grown up in LES. I went in for a cheese slice, I asked how much and stated I would be paying in CASH so that I would not be charged tax, because that is the STATE LAW, if you are paying in cash tax is not charged, you can give the flat price. When I explained this to her that I’m not paying with card so why is she charging me tax, she began to say that’s what the owner makes them do. I just payed and stayed silent because at this point I was beginning to get frustrated. So not only was I over charged from the original price of a cheese slice, I get my slice and she literally burned the entire crust/breading of the pizza it was brick hard from being burnt, but I take a bite of the slice and it’s literally dripping of oil like as if it had an entire bottle on it which is absolutely disgusting. All in all, I was over charged, given a burnt / oily disgusting slice. I will never return to this establishment. An absolute rip off. I will attach images so you can see how oily this slice is.

One of the best pizza in town! Its by East village on Ave. A and 3rd st. They are open until late night. Awesome pizza! They have the regulat cheeze pizza, vegitarian pizza if you dont like meat, for those who love seafood they also have this type of pizza. Pizza flavors includes Sicilian, Tony Clifton, Larry Tate, V for Vegan and more! The place is cozy and i like how they design the place. Its so artistic with the stained glass and the outside sign also show. Order is very quick with good staffs! You can order online. Seating are also available as well as take out. Grocert is close by and bus stops are a few blows away. Highly recommend this yummy pizza!

Two boots has been a new york premium choice since "premium choice" was fresh. They've banged out good slices since the 80s, when original rays was actually a thing. When MC Hammer went to two boots, he was just a weirdo in a gold tracksuit. The pizza still rocks, and their survival is down to more than the dough. The guy serving me tonight has been with them for 8 years, and did they really stuck with him through covid. So the pizza is good. The business has survived because the owners understand what matters. 5* is the least I can do. And the pizza is good...pricey, but good.

It's incredible to think that I've been a customer of this location on and off for more than 30 years. In that time we college kids without email accounts, let alone social media, have become middle aged adults yet still enjoy a Two Boots slice. The pizza overall hasn't changed. These days I favor the vegan options though, trying to eat as healthy as possible.

I recently tried the vegan Cleopatra. It's been a lifetime since I've eaten non-vegan food, but I can still recollect the taste of an original Cleopatra slice and compare the two in my mind. The vegan cheese I would give a 3 out of 5 stars at best. It's just not that good. It's not only at Two Boots, I've yet to try vegan mozzarella at any of the local pizza shops that tastes great. There are other types of vegan cheeses now that are fantastic. A provolone in particular that I'm familiar with, which is available at many of the small vegan grocery stores. As a vegan I would rather have a slice that doesn't try to imitate the non-vegan versions exactly, but instead is a variation using the best tasting vegan ingredients. Also, these vegan slices would probably taste great without any cheese at all.

I also tried the vegan white pizza for the first time recently and like the other vegan slices, the cheese isn't great. Good vegan ricotta cheese is easy to find these days, so I'm surprised that one part of the slice wasn't tastier. But again, I think these slices would be great without any cheese, or in the case of the white slice only a quality ricotta and skipping the mozzarella altogether.

The crust is however that wonderful baked delight it's always been.

Aside from the vegan cheese, I think Two Boots does a great job overall and hits high marks on every other point. Just the fact they've managed to maintain consistency for multiple decades is admirable. For a lifelong rating I still have to give Two...

A good friend recommended Two Boots glowingly.

7:24PM: Ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza to be delivered to my hotel.

8:25PM: Wrong pizza was delivered. Definitely not pepperoni. Maybe gluten free? Should I risk it? Called the delivery person, who seemed to have expected my call and told me to call the store. Called the store, and the person seemed to be expecting my call. Maybe they knew they screwed up my order and hoped I'd eat it anyway? I don't know. Anyhow, I was told they'd get a correct pizza out to me.

9:36PM: I called to check on my order, as it had been an hour. I was told my pizza was ready but waiting on a driver. I thanked them and said I've got a tip for the driver. I've been a pizza delivery guy. It sucks to have to deliver a replacement pizza knowing the chances of a tip are slim.

10:21PM: I called to check on my order and they picked up and immediately hung up on me. I called back, hung up on. Called back at 10:25PM, and they picked up and. hung up on me again without saying anything.

Do I try to get my $30.73 refunded somehow? How does that even work? Crazy hungry now, so I guess I'll go get a smash burger since most places are closed. EDIT: smash nyc is closed. Corner store has cheetos.

My advice is that if you're in a hotel and want to try this pizza, consider making the walk and pick it up. I'm sure it's great pizza. I would've loved to have tried it. Feeling...

Don’t go if you have a child. Not child friendly. Daughter and I sat down tables were not clean napkins on the floor but we wiped it and sat down. As my Daughter gets her food and sits down excitedly to coat her pizza with cheese an employee who was our Cashier (I had tipped in our order) yells behind the country at my daughter “my love don’t play with the cheese!!” (As if saying my love sounds better or makes it appropriate for an adult/stranger to yell at a minor ) My daughter gets scared and startled as She’s was not making a mess on the already messy table and floor, she was just putting cheese on her pizza and some to dip. Not sure why she didn’t asks me or talk to me instead of yelling at a child. We did nothing wrong and my daughter was terrified to even touch the cheese or the pizza. Didn’t get an apology. After I explained calmly to the cashier my daughter is not playing with cheese she just loves cheese. Fellow parents and pizza lovers Isn’t cheese what pizza is made off? So Save your time, money and kids from this place. Hope to save another kid from what should be a fun experience to a...
