Blarney Stone — Restaurant in New York

Went with a friend after a movie for a couple of rounds, bartender messed up drink on the first round but I didn't say anything. I was dressed casually in sweatpants and a hoodie which to my understanding have never been a problem since I have been in this establishment multiple times wearing the same thing. I have shown up wearing baseball caps, skull caps, hoodies, every possible combination on my head and have never had a problem until last night. After trying to get the bartenders attention for a good 10 minutes to get our next round (although there were maybe only 4 small groups of patrons in the bar) we finally ordered a second round. It was cold so I had my hood over my head and for some reason 15 minutes after having had it on, I was asked to take it off. I confusingly obliged and instead of making a scene my friend and I (who are two 30 year old black men) were very insulted, we didn't bother finishing our drinks and simply left as we felt as though making a scene would undoubtedly vilify us and lead to more problems. The food was pretty good, but it is in no way Irish and the service was pretty bad. The waitress didn't seem to know anything or understand anything. It made every interaction very tedious. Our orders came out mostly correct. The special orders were wrong, but they immediately offered to fix the issue. The manager checked up on us when we got our food and seemed sincere. He even messaged me after my original review and asked if he could know more about the issues I had and if I'd come back and give them another shot. The food is absolutely amazing. However, their service is even better! I ordered from seamless and my order never came. I called the restaurant and Chris set me up with another beautifully and well put together pasta alfredo, but also added garlic bread and a watermelon feta cheese salad which was amazing. He called seamless in order to make sure they would refund my money. I haven't experienced this kind of service in many many years. Wonderful people, wonderful service and GREAT FOOD!!! Totally go/order here, they totally deserve the business and YOU deserve this...
