Update Oct, 2025: I just had to post an update because my wife and I ate here again on a Saturday night before a concert at RCMH after taking a train to Penn Station. (It's steps away from the 8th and 31st exit.) The bar was lightly busy and we sat next to it. But once again our experience was great. The wait staff were very pleasant and attentive, my wife's burger was once again fantastic (so fresh and juicy) and on a whim I got the chicken tikka masala with rice dish and it was delicious (just a little spicy but not "hot", perfect to my taste). I have no idea if half the patrons to this bar try the food but it's so far above standard pub fair I feel the kitchen easily competes with some of the better "american" style restaurants in a sea of NYC options. If you don't mind a bit of a louder pub atmosphere, and you may be able to ask to be seated upstairs where it's a little bit quieter, I can't recommend the dining enough.
Original review, Oct, 2024: We stopped in for an early dinner before a concert at MSG across the street. Food was a notch way above pub fare. We ate light because we couldn’t take leftovers but the burger was fantastic, Margherita flatbread was tasty, and the wings were delicious. The atmosphere got a little loud as it got more crowded but what one would expect on a Friday evening. I think this is the family’s new spot for dining near The Garden and we look forward to trying some of their...
Read moreI came in here after a concert with two friends to this bar with a good amount of people seated. The bartender gave us waters, but minutes later after several stares, he told us they were closing soon. I asked if they already did last call, to which he said yes, despite Google saying they don't close for another hour. Bar staff brought out several plates of food and drinks to serveral tables of people and people seated at the bar, some of whom were coming from the same concert as us. Additional people even walked in after us and got served. The bartender stared at us until we finished our waters and took our glasses and said "good night", continuing to stare at us as we left. I've never felt more uncomfortable in a bar as he was being extremely sketchy and clearly judging us and refusing service for some reason I'm still unsure of. Though two of us were women of color in a pretty white space, so that feels impossible to ignore here. Plus the water sucked. Could not recommend this place less, there are plenty of other great bars in the area we...
Read moreVery sad to be treared rudly by the manager on Sunday. I Asked a server when I came in if I could watched the US Open men's final, but I did not want to disturbed anyone who are watching the football games. By the entrance I see the second TV on for the tennis match. I spent over an hour at the bar watching the football games, and when the tennis match started I moved to the table closed to the TV that was broadcasting the match. Rudly the manager came and told me I cannot sit there, the pub was not crowded at all. I told her why I was sitting there and she told me it was reserved, my daughter who has just came in, told the manager that that's not how you talk to a costumer. The mananger said I could stayed until 5. The mananger started to brag how long she was working there and that she never had a confrontation with costumers. Then she told me that my daughter is very rude. Excuse me. My 1st and last time there. If you want business, in hospitality, that's not the kind of manager you should have that kicks costumers...
