I really enjoyed this establishment when I visited before. I had the opportunity to try one of their drinks but I forgot which one I ordered. All I remember was that the drink/coffee was really good! So 5 Stars Coffee.
Atmosphere: The location is cool and quiet. Very unique. Has swings for seats by the window which is cool. It looks like a nice place to do work (although I was there for take out). So 5 Stars Atmosphere.
Service: This is where it goes downhill. I knew that some of their syrups contained almond since the one day I was there they were selling them. Since I am allergic to nuts/almonds I asked the server which one of the coffee flavors did NOT have almond in the syrup. The server simply stated, "I can read them but yeah I'm not a barista..." He seemed really inconvenienced/didn't seem to care to look so I just told him to get me a normal Cafe Latte as that's a safe option. My friend who ordered with me got a Tres Leches.
This is where it gets even worse. After picking the safe option the real barista brewed the coffee. They placed them in the bags and labeled one indicating Tres Leches and the other indicating Cafe Latte. I take the drinks outside, take a few sips and immediately think this is either a DAMN GOOD Cafe Latte or they added something different. Meanwhile my friends were stating that their drink wasn't sweet at all. The barista MIXED UP THE DRINKS.
So now I rush back into the cafe because you know... I'm concerned I might die (I've successfully avoided eating nuts/have no issues with cross contamination) and I told them they appeared to have switched the drinks. They didn't seem to care much and took a look at the syrup which clearly stated "Almond flavoring." They then stated "We can try and call the boss" but honestly seemed extremely dismissive/didn't seem to care at all.
I get that if I walk into a place and I have an allergy not every establishment will cater to that. It's 100% their right to. No problem. I get that there are potential issues with cross contamination and that I as a reasonable adult can make the informed decision to still consume food or beverages at that establishment knowing the risk. What I DO NOT understand is how an establishment carelessly switches drinks and puts people at severe risk when dealing with allergens. Absolutely atrocious and incompetent workers.
TLDR: The coffee tastes amazing. The atmosphere is great. The baristas don't care if you have an allergy. They're incompetent and mix up drinks with allergens in it. And even if you try and be safe they'll wind up screwing it up and not really caring. If you only care about the drinks and atmosphere go here. If you care about service avoid it at all costs. And finally,
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU...

We got the coquito latte and dulce de leche latte. Omg the coquito was my favorite — it was just beautiful, highly recommend if you like coconut and I swear I could almost taste rum even tho I didn’t add it it was just really tropical nice bold flavor. Warning, they put coconut flakes into the drink so if you don’t like chewing on coconut flakes maybe you can ask them to remove them.
Dulce de leche latte is perfect for people who love sweet lattes. It was like drinking sweet clouds sooooo smooth and glorious.
And the interior is amazing!!!! They have more space upstairs and it’s just a great cafe to get some coffee, vibe, study, or yap for an hour.
My only thing is the bathroom could be a bit cleaner, the trash was overflowing with tampons and god knows what trash.
But other than that, all great and amazing, shoutout to Maira for being super nice and friendly and helping indecisive me choose the lattes thank u sm
Will def be back in my...
Read moreI recently visited 707 Coffee, and it was an exceptional experience, thanks to Cindy, who truly went above and beyond. As someone who had never tried coffee before let alone visited New York, Cindy made me feel incredibly welcome and at ease. She took the time to walk me through the world of Puerto Rican coffee, explaining how it’s made and produced with such passion and detail. She emphasized how everything at 707 Coffee is fresh, which really stood out to me. Cindy didn’t just stop there, she patiently broke down the different flavors and profiles of their products, helping me understand what to expect and making the experience feel personalized and approachable. But her kindness didn’t end with the coffee. When I was unsure about what to pair with my drink, she guided me toward a cheese pastry that turned out to be the perfect choice. Her thoughtful recommendations and warm demeanor made trying something new not only enjoyable but memorable.Overall, 707 Coffee is a gem, I’ll absolutely recommend this place to anyone especially this location and Cindy herself to friends, family, or anyone passing through New York. If you’re looking for fresh, flavorful coffee and a genuinely caring staff, this...
