TLDR: Legit home-styled taste, better than many chinese takeouts. Prices are awesome for this quality, you will be spoiled and wonder why you pay more at other places. Go before 6 pm for better choices.

I am relatively picky when it comes to food, especially meats. I have tried lots of different places in manhattan/brooklyn/flushing chinatowns, and food at this place is authentic, reminds me of homestyle cooking. Folks at this place are kind, and seem to genuinely care about quality. Most choices are great, even meats that I normally dislike.

You can pick white rice, fried rice, or lo mein, with no extra charge. The fried rice and lo mein are both really good, not the cold/soggy/oily/salty ones you expect from other lunch box places. Fried rice is legit white rice with egg and onions and stuff, not the fake soy sauce colored brown rice, and way better than most chinese takeouts. You can also just get the rice or other choices individually. A large fried rice is just $3, while a similar portion fried rice from a typical chinese takeout would be $5+ and it would taste worse. I know, it is ridiculous. You just gotta try it yourself to...

My original plan was to buy some goodies at the bakery next door but was caught by the delicious images&prices of this little gem.

I was greeted by a kind, old man that was quick to introduce me to what they still had as it was almost closing time. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options available.

Highly recommend. This place is affordable (most items less than $5) and tasty - the service is A+ with a touch of home.

Love it here. Amazing portions, feels like your grandma filling your dish to get you nice and fat :) Food tastes just like my mom's cooking, it's truly authentic chinese soul food here. A good healthy & affordable family business I go to almost every day!
