Wandered in here one day months ago on a lark and fell in love with it immediately. Good, solid community of folks and regulars with a very relaxed and calming atmosphere. It strikes a good balance of cafe and bar atmosphere, where you can get a lot of work done but also occasionally find yourself striking up pretty lively conversations with other customers. I wouldn't call myself a connoisseur, but in the few experiences I've had with kava, theirs seem to be the most consistent strains. My recommendation is to try the Fijian and Vanuatu strains, the latter especially for the evening hours. Makes a great substitute for a nightcap. Read moreI've frequented a lot of kava bars, but this one wins. The regulars are really friendly and the conversation is top notch, especially once you get to know them a little. I've made some actual friends here. Always great music. I love how they make everything the "old fashioned" way, on site, versus just buying it premade and of unknown origin. It feels like they take pride in having a good product. I've gotten sick off the drinks from some other kava bars, but not here.
