Burger King — Restaurant in New York

Editing my review (below) and knocking off a few stars after this morning's visit...

Walked into the location and ordered (2) breakfast sandwiches without cheese. The cook prepared (2) sandwiches WITH cheese and someone in the process caught the error before the order was handed to me. At this point, I was beyond thrilled and happy their process works. What came next ...

The cook took the (2) sandwiches back. Then, he opened up the wrappers, peeled off the cheese and rewrapped the same sandwiches in new wrappers without the the cheese markings. Couldn't believe it. In the case of serious allergies, this cook's shortcut could be very dangerous.

Old review... Due to the asymmetric nature of things, I usually do not post reviews unless things are really bad. However, today’s visit to this location definitely deserves a comment.

I visited around 8:30am and the restaurant/store was relatively empty. The cook was sweeping WITHOUT the food-handling gloves and I was beyond thrilled to see. Side note…I lost count of how many times, generally speaking, that I’ve witnessed food-handlers lounging and playing with their phones, while wearing the gloves. Then, returning to their stations to prepare food.

Upon my order hitting the screen, he put down the broom, washed his hands, put on the gloves and commenced to prepare my two-for-four. This experience joins a handful of others, where food-handlers followed the script.

Job well done and deserves...

I walked through the door around 8:30pm this evening. I was the only one in line with at least 4 employees behind the counter, however I waited to place my order for over 5 minutes before anyone ever approached me. I was about to walk out and leave when they finally came to take my order. As I was waiting for my order, I noticed the girl in the back was microwaving everyone’s burger…not sure how long the burger patties had been sitting around in order for them to need microwaved before serving to customers?

Once I got my order, it was acceptable, even after being microwaved. Not great, but it was typical for a Burger King visit.

FYI…this Burger King doesn’t give soda refills. I think it’s the only Burger King in the U.S. that I’ve ever been to that doesn’t refill drinks. They will charge you for another drink.

The food at this Burger King was not great, but it was nearly on par with other Burger Kings. However, the service and cleanliness of this location are well below standards. Unless you’re in a rush, it’s worth the drive or walk to the next Burger...

From ordering at the counter a person that is working at the register should at least be more capable of understanding what your asking for? I gave my order and asked for the breakfast "Eggnormous" burrito (meal). Simple right because it's on the menu. She kept saying, 'edd and cheese burrito'. 😒 No. ("EGGNORMOUS")! Mind you this BK didn't have each meal marked with numbers?? Again she says, 'egg and cheese burrito'. While pointing at her selection, NOT mine. 😵OMG!! NO! 😠 So after third time asking she then called the manager on duty. I told her what it was and she knew what I wanted. Thank you Jesus! 🙌🏼 I could tell the manager was speaking in their language telling which buttons and what I wanted.

Anyways, after eating I had to use the bathroom and I must say, 'PEUWEE!'🤢 I mean did anybody clean the bathroom in the morning??? It was only 10ish in the morning. Why does it smell that bad? I only came to eat here because I was waiting for my mother who has a doctor's appointment. Otherwise I wasn't...
