As a local, I genuinely wanted to like this place — but after giving it two tries, I can confidently say it’s both overpriced and overrated. What stood out most was the unpleasant attitude of the staff, which left a lasting negative impression. On my most recent visit, I ordered an avocado toast and forgot to mention I wanted it on whole wheat bread. I immediately tried to get the cashier’s attention, but she seemed disengaged. I then approached one of the employees behind the sandwich counter — who was standing right in front of me — and called out to him multiple times. He blatantly ignored me until he finally turned around, only to roll his eyes and walk off without even acknowledging what I said. While he did end up using whole wheat bread (which I appreciated), his attitude was completely unnecessary and rude. When I got back to my office and opened the container, I was shocked. The avocado toast — priced at $15.80 — was tiny, barely the size of a tile. No tomatoes, no onions, just plain and sad. While the coffee was decent, it's simply not worth enduring that kind of dismissive treatment just for a basic breakfast…and…they don’t serve fresh orange juice. There are plenty of other places in town where I can get better food, friendlier service, and more value for my money. I’d rather take my...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Aroma in NYC, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled in a charming corner of the city, this cafe boasts a warm, inviting ambiance that immediately makes you feel at home. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels welcome.
The menu offers a delightful array of options, catering to a variety of tastes and dietary preferences. I tried the avocado toast and a latte, both of which were simply outstanding. The avocado toast was perfectly seasoned and generously portioned, while the latte was rich and creamy, with just the right balance of coffee and milk.
What truly sets Cafe Aroma apart is its commitment to quality and detail. Every dish is beautifully presented, and you can tell that a lot of thought goes into sourcing fresh, local ingredients. The cozy atmosphere, coupled with free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating, makes it an ideal spot for both casual meet-ups and getting some work done.
In a city brimming with cafes, Cafe Aroma stands out as a gem. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch cafe experience in...
Read moreBuyer beware!! Honestly the food was great and the service was quick. But here’s the MAIN PROBLEM, the cashier had the audacity to sneakily give me a merchant copy of my receipt for a total of $37.10 and then went ahead and charged me $44.52. I only found out because I was going to purchase some bottles of water on the $50 gift card I was using but couldn’t as the card was declined due to insufficient funds and I had to use my regular card to process the charge. Upon reviewing my gift card balance online, I saw the charge on my gift card was higher and went to clarify with the cashier as this was the first purchase on the gift card. The cashier said the actual charge was higher because of a credit card fee. In my opinion, that’s quite a joke since credit card fees of $7.42 on a $37.10 purchase do not exist. It seems that their cashiers are trying to collect an “extra tip” from unsuspecting customers. Sad thing is, if they gave me a chance to tip them I would have. I really hope management reads this review and stops these...
