I used to come here for their chicken wings which are great, but recently this place has invested in a smoker and is serving authentic bbq pulled pork, brisket, ribs and chicken thighs every Tuesday and Sunday.
I ordered half a rack of their sweet & spicy ribs with complimentary two sides (mac & cheese & corn on the cob) & complimentary cornbread
My total was about $23. The ribs were meaty & fall of the bone tender with a great sticky sweet & spicy molasses style bbq sauce evenly distributed on top
The ribs were so infused with smokiness that I later walked around my apartment wondering if someone was having a bonfire nearby, you can tell these are slow cooked to perfection.
The cornbread was my next favorite thing about this meal. It seems authentically homemade with corn kernels throughout & the mac & cheese & the corn balanced everything out with a nice creamy cheesy sweetness.
Overall excellent BBQ, you can feed two people from one order, I would just suggest ordering an extra side dish as the sides seem to be intended for a single person.

Read moreSo I wanted to like this place, but I have mixed feelings. You need to know what it is, and what it is not. It's a bar with a food service in back operated by Buffalo's Famous (wings) if the drinkers get hungry. Husband and I went there entirely for the wings. We had eaten Buffalo's Famous wings when they had a their own shop on Church Ave, but that place closed and they moved in here. So far as I can see they do not offer delivery/Seamless etc. So the wings are great, but the bar is, well, just a kinda dumpy bar. The kind I used to hang out in in college but with more televisions, all playing football. No table service, at least not the night we were there (a Sunday). Order wings at the bar and they drop them off at your table later. Beer was basic. Bartender was pleasant but clearly we were not regulars, and there WERE regulars who looked like they had been there since the Clinton administration. So make sure you want a bar that sells wings, not a restaurant that sells drinks. (The wings are...
Read moreI'm only giving one star to be able to post a review. Horrible place; we went late on a Wednesday night, the bartender was incredibly racist to us. We are a young professional Puerto Rican couple; both of us are perfectly bilingual and have been living in Ditmas Park for the past 4 years. The Bartender was condescendingly making fun of my girlfriend's hispanic accent and claiming he couldn't understand her, asking her to speak slowly (she used to be an English teacher and now goes to grad school in NY...she can speak English...).
It was a huge disappointment to see this level of ignorance and bigotry in this lovely and diverse neighborhood. We really love living here and there is certainly no place for this Sh**t in Ditmas Park. We will not support this business at all and hope that people who read this review feel the same way too. There are plenty of welcoming places in Ditmas Park, we don't...
