Crab Du Jour Xpress Cajun Seafood — Restaurant in New York

I rarely write a review but I have been obsessed with Crab Du Jour since they opened in Harlem. My experience here has been delightful from the food to the friendly and attentive staff members who make every customer feel right at home. If you are a seafood lover who’s in the mood for mouth-watering authentic Cajun dishes that won't break the bank, look no further than Crab Du Jour in Harlem; just steps away from the hustle and bustle of 125th Street. Their signature boils are an absolute must-try! They offer a variety of options like Crawfish, Shrimp, Snow Crab legs, Dungeness Crabs and Lobster Tail – all cooked to perfection! Each boil comes with potatoes and corn on the cob and your choice of classic garlic butter, lemon pepper, and the original Cajun or Crab du jour special, sauce. I usually add sausage to my boil; Yummy! Looking for something other than boils, there are plenty of choices! They offer dishes like po’ boys sandwiches which come with fried oysters, or fried fish filets. My friend loves the crispy chicken Po boy. My wife and I ordered over 120 dollars worth of food via seamless. I walked in and stayed hello I'm picking up for (I mentioned my wife's name) someone I assume was the manager said I need ID. I said I don't have her ID I don't carry her ID. He said I can't give you the food unless I have ID. People stole from us like that before. That's not my issue. I PAID VIA SEAMLESS GAVE HER PHONE NUMBER. How would I know all that. I have never given I for a seamless order. I am not a delivery person I paid MY Money. Then thenyoung lady takes her mask off and gets loud so yes I got loud and asked her to not talk to me without her mask. I was done arguing with these people about food I paid for. I took my food and walked out. I have been to other crab du jours and never asked for ID when I ordered via seamless there or any restaurant and my name Is Caroll which is a girl's name in the states.

The food was good some shrimp were mushy clams were little necks and a lot of the 1 pound were closed.

The food was pretty good. I noticed that a few reviews mentioned that the food wasn't fresh. By the time I noticed, I had already paid for my meal. So they may have made a few improvements since those reviews were posted. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. The staff does an excellent job maintaining a clean dining space. As soon as a patron left, the table was immediately cleaned and a new cover was placed on the table. Now for my critique. The price point seems fair, but it still bugs me that I paid 14 dollars for a po'boy. I was a bit annoyed that it took soooo long to prepare my order. Normally I'd take into consideration that there are other people ahead of me and certain food items take time to prepare. However, I didn't like that only one person was preparing each item alone. And there were 4 people at the register. (Only two were using the register). I think Tianna did a fabulous job. She was pleasant and professional. I did leave a tip. My experience was not bad.
