Cubby's, located in NYC, stands out as a haven for burger enthusiasts seeking a culinary adventure. My recent visit to this establishment left me thoroughly impressed.
First and foremost, let's talk about the star of the show: the Georges Burger. This delectable creation was everything a burger aficionado could dream of and more. Cooked to perfection, each bite offered a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds. From the juicy patty to the fresh toppings, it was evident that every component was carefully selected and expertly crafted.
Accompanying the Georges Burger were the Cajun seasoned fries, which proved to be a delightful addition to the meal. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, these fries were a testament to the kitchen's dedication to quality and consistency.
To wash it all down, I indulged in a S'mores shake, and I must say, it was nothing short of divine. The shake boasted a velvety smooth consistency that made each sip a heavenly experience. It was the perfect complement to the hearty flavors of the meal.
But the surprises didn't end there. I also had the pleasure of trying the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, and it exceeded all expectations. Each bite was a harmonious blend of savory bacon, fluffy egg, and gooey cheese, sandwiched between perfectly toasted bread. It was a delightful departure from the traditional burger fare and served as a testament to Cubby's versatility in the kitchen.
Beyond the exceptional food, I was also impressed by the efficiency of the service. Despite the bustling atmosphere, my order was delivered promptly, allowing me to enjoy my meal without any unnecessary delays.
In conclusion, Cubby's has undoubtedly earned its place as a must-visit destination for burger enthusiasts in NYC. With its mouthwatering offerings, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere, it's a culinary experience that's not to be missed. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and make a pit stop at Cubby's—you won't be...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews but this rare experience was truly one of a kind. Walking in I was unprepared for the experience I was about to have. This unassuming establishment is deserving of the rave reviews it is getting.
I had hands down the best veggie burger I’ve ever had in my 32 years living in nyc. With most veggie burgers, I’m always left just a bit hungry. With this one, I was perfectly satisfied to the point I actually couldn’t eat anymore. This is a rare occurrence for a tall guy who works outside.
About the burger:
It was a falafel style burger that absolutely hit the spot. It was exactly what you would ask for from a traditional hamburger but in veggie form. The outside was crispy and fried to perfection. The inside was juicy and fluffy. Absolutely delicious. I recommend adding lettuce onion and tomato if you’re into that. I opted for barbecue sauce since that was one of the vegan sauces.
The bun was out of control good. Also fluffy but held up perfectly. Not a crack or split to be found and held up bite after bite.
The fries also deserve some serious glory. I went for the regular fries. The shoestring fries were long and crispy. Very few small fries unlike most places.
The owner and staff take allergies very seriously which is rare for a burger establishment. The owner scoured their list of ingredients for the ones my son is allergic to. I highly encourage anyone with a food intolerance or allergy to make sure they tell the staff.
Perhaps one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had to be perfectly honest. Reasonable prices too.
Can’t wait to go back. Thanks for being a...
Read moreI work in the area and my coworkers and I started coming here when the owner came by and introduced his restaurant. At first, the food was consistently good in portion and flavor; however, my last 2-3 visits were very disappointing and my most recent visit will be final visit. I ordered the Combo to-go as I always have in the past. The patty was less than a centimeter thick and fell apart because it was so thin, the toppings and sauce were all I could taste because the patty was so thin, and the beef was rare in some areas but medium well in others (so an inconsistent cook). The patties are always cooked inconsistently but have gotten thinner and thinner since the restaurant opened. The fries are always crispy and some are always too hard to eat but I tolerated it because the burger was good, but now that there was barely a patty in my burger, I basically paid $16 for sauce, bread, pickles, stale fries, and ice cream with chucks of ice; at least the water bottle is consistent.
There are cute mini-board games you can play at the counter if you dine-in, which is a nice contribution to the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Most of my coworkers stopped coming but I wanted to give this place another chance because there aren’t many burger spots like this in the area. I had hoped to get my stamps filled for a free Sylvester, but it’s just...
