This is the third time I went here in recent times. I used to live right by this dominoes pizza for about 16 years before moving. I went here specifically to AVOID another dominoes pizza location on Utica and Winthrop that has the SAME EXTREMELY NEGATIVE ASPECT ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY WENT FROM GOOD WORST THAN UTICA AVE IN LESS THAN TWO MONTHS. FROM MY EXPERIENCE.
This is the first time at this location I have ever been disrespected especially to this level. It was a younger short female of Spanish descent with glasses who decided everything else was important after taking her phone call. They must have a manual on this since from the body language and confidence. It must be perfectly fine by the manager as well. I think God that I decide to pay for the advanced order made Via the Domino's app in person. Since it seems to be a burden for me to pick up what I ordered, I decided to just go somewhere else. I'm more than sure the steps in their so-called Manual of customer service probably follows my experience as pointed out below:
BASICALLY LOOK AT THE PERSON, PRETEND THEY ARE NOT THERE, DO EVERY OTHER THING THAT CAN BE THOUGHT OF INCLUDING OF LOW PRIORITY TASK. ESPECIALLY LOW PRIORITY TASK THAT IN COMMON SENSE SITUATIONS SHOULD BE PAUSED. DO NOT BY ANY MEANS ACKNOWLEDGE THE CUSTOMER. DO NOT SAY ANYTHING EVEN AFTER HE SAYS "hi, I know you are very busy, but I just want to pick up my pizza and leave." F--- HIM, ITS ALL ABOUT YOU, THE EMPLOYEE EVEN AFTER YOU RECEIVED YOUR $6 STATE MANDATED RAISE, MORE ENTITLEMENT IS DESERVED IN THE FORM OF NOT HAVING TO DO YOUR MAIN JOB FUNCTION. NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT JOB PERFORMANCE. WHAT IS THAT? HE WILL WAIT FOR YOU. IF HE BECOMES WRONGLY UPSET OVER OUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT PRACTICES FOR IN STORE CUSTOMERS ESPECIALLY SINCE HE IS THE ONLY ONE THERE PLEASE REFER TO OUR MAIN GOAL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE OF F* THEM WHO NEEDS THEM.
Most people would think for the fact the area is becoming super gentrified, most retail shops and restaurants would be on par with customer service and basic respect. (You know that golden rule of treat others how you would like to be treated. I know it's old. Seems to be lost especially with the current "me" generation) Minus the gentrified status that is usually the baseline of service providers, and many other businesses. It's also called building rapport. I really do not know how they are able to get by, but since this behavior seems to be contagious amongst other locations, I'm taking a page from the domino's customer service manual and taking the main goal of who needs them. I'm not going to sit and ponder why they're still open. I'm simply not going to order dominoes pizza anymore unless I'm in bushwick since the dominoes near Broadway and Gates ave seems to be the last of a dying breed presenting a positive experience. I hope they keep that way, otherwise I'll go...
Read moreGood evening,
It is with great disappointment that I write this on behalf of my nonprofit organization.
Several weeks ago, we reached out to your Domino’s location in hopes of receiving a small donation — five boxes of pizza — to support an upcoming community event taking place in just two days. The event is designed to educate and empower local youth in the very neighborhood your store serves.
After speaking with someone at your store by phone, we were told the donation of five boxes of pizza would be approved. I was even called back from your store’s number to confirm it and was instructed to call the day before to reconfirm the quantity. I was also given an email address to coordinate logistics and offered to submit our 501(c)(3) nonprofit documentation for tax purposes.
I followed through on all communication. Yet now, just days before the event, we’re being told that your store doesn’t handle donations unless corporate approves them — a claim that is simply not true. I’ve personally spoken with Domino’s corporate, and their own public guidelines state that local stores have discretion over donation decisions.
So I have to ask — why mislead us? Why confirm a donation and ask us to follow up, only to reverse the decision at the last minute and deny any record of our agreement? Over the past few months, every time we’ve followed up, we’ve simply been told, “We’re busy right now.” And now, with the event just two days away, we are left scrambling.
This is not just frustrating — it’s deeply disappointing. The students and families attending this event are the same people who patronize your store. Domino’s has no issue accepting their money, but when it comes time to give back — even in the form of five boxes of pizza — there’s no accountability or follow-through.
We truly hoped Domino’s would stand behind its mission of supporting local communities. Unfortunately, this experience has been the opposite. I hope this matter is taken seriously and that future outreach from community organizations is met with greater integrity...
Read moreCompletely Unprofessional! I tried to place and order via the the telephone.
I called twice, the first time I called some young lady answered the phone then immediately put me on hold and I was on hold for almost 10 minutes, I was on the line shouting hello then they finally picked back up , I made my order , without calling back the order to me or even telling me the total she started asking for my card information.
I asked what the total was and then she proceeded to put me on hold again.
Another female came on the phone and called over the order and then told me the total. When I asked her what was the discount (because I’m a regular customer and I buy from them over the phone all the time and usually when I ask what the discount I get couples dollars off)
She told me they don’t give discounts I tried explaining to her that I’m a usually and that they do! Basically I ended the call because she kept saying the same thing.
I called back and the same young lady who I first spoke to on the first call picked up. And then immediately put me on hold again
I had to shout Hello at the phone for them to pick it back up after almost 20 minutes
She came back I asked to speak with someone else And a man came on and said we’re not taking orders over the phone and as I was about to respond he hung the phone up!
This is absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. What kind of service is this???
I wouldn’t trust those employees with my food so I will order elsewhere
Because I cannot trust a place with such terrible customer service to be safely handling food!!!
Do...
