To say this spot was disappointing is an understatement. We had a reservation for a party of 3 last night. Things were off to a wrong start the moment we were seated and having a reservation clearly meant nothing. They had us squeeze into a 2-seat arrangement with a small table. There were empty tables meant for parties of 3-4 around the space throughout our whole visit but they denied our not one, but two polite requests to switch to an appropriately sized table. Later on, we even witnessed a party of 2 seated at a larger booth with space for 4.
If the drinks had blown me away, I probably would have tried to ignore the poor customer service, but unfortunately they were nothing special and I've certainly had much better in NYC for $19 a drink. We initially planned on having dinner here as well, but the uncomfortable seating arrangement led us to finish the visit with one round of drinks. Read moreThe customer service left much to be desired. Delivering top-notch customer service means being adaptable and attentive to customers' needs. It's quite bewildering when the hostess seats a large party at a clearly inadequate table while there are plenty of available tables around, and then claims, "Sorry, this is all we have." To add to the frustration, smaller parties are seated at much larger table arrangements.
The uncomfortable seating situation made us decide against staying for a meal. While the drinks were satisfactory, I don't believe they justified the $19 price tag. In terms of value for money, I would highly recommend choosing Double Chicken Please over this establishment.
I must admit that I was genuinely impressed by their restaurant concept. However, it's important to note that customer service plays a significant role in people's decisions to dine out and return to a particular place.
