Dunkin' — Restaurant in New York

Hey Y'all! Hope your day is going well! Mine is. Okay, so I was in NYC exploring and suddenly had a craving for a coffee... but not just any coffee... a pumpkin spiced latte. Firstly, I can barely control myself with pumpkin spiced ANYTHING! And every other commercial that I've seen in the past 8 hours is the the Dunkin' pumpkin spiced coffee flavors. Ya girl HAD to get one.

For this location the Dunkin' Donuts is in Brooklyn, NY. It's located under a train station. It had a few panhandlers sitting right outside the door so I was a little anxious about that. This location is convenient for people traveling by train, riding bikes / scooters, or walking because its right on the corner. As I walked closer to the door one of them jumped up and opened the door for me (I nearly jumped out my skin because I did not know what to expect and it straddled me) and then held his cup up for a tip.

After going inside I noticed this Dunkin' Donuts is connected to a popular chicken chain (Popeye's Chicken). It's separated by a glass wall with a glass door. The staff at this location did not speak a lot of English so I had to point at the picture of the coffee and breakfast sandwich I wanted. The Pumpkin Spiced Latte that I ordered was bitter and taste like no sweetener was added. Kinda...

Took my toddler daughter to Dunkin Donuts for the first time and was excited for her. Being it was my daughter’s first time I wanted her to choose her own order . I walked up to the register and asked the lady (who already had her lips screwed up in a annoyed fashion) when I politely might I add asked “do you have any other flavor then pistachio?” She then very rudely commented “we have a lot of flavors” so I then asked her to name them trying to keep the positive experience for my child. She let out a huff of breath and rushed through the flavors but my daughter heard caramel at least and chose that and a chocolate donut with sprinkles. Not once did this lady smile or show any customers service but while waiting for the drink I then noticed her greeting, smiling and giving exceptional service to two customers after me. Maybe I’m overreacting but the only difference between me and those customers were A. I had a child with me and B. I am of a darker complexion (if you get my drift) either way it was upsetting to say the least and I will NEVER go back there again, because my usual (Starbucks) has always made ordering with them a pleasant experience. My daughter enjoyed her donut and her latte though she said it wasn’t...

I've been to this location a few times in the past and they recently remodeled.

Donuts and other foods are behind a glass display case so you can see up closer compared to from way behind the counter. The ambience is very open and bright. Got the connecting Popeyes adjacent which is also decent.

This one recent visit however is worth noting to me to write this specific review.

I need to point out Jamal for being a great employee. I was off to the side for probably a long while. Not on line or anything. He was the one who noticed enough to ask if I needed anything. At the time I was still in communication to what to get.

When I was ready he followed through to help me place my order. One of my worries was scheduling but he assured me they would have my order ready for pickup.

Overall great staff and communication with ordering.

I've got to say that I've been to several Dunkin around the city and this one has probably been my more better experiences for Take Out. Staff very helpful and friendly.
