I'll start with saying that this is the first time I take the time to review any place, but felt compelled to do so since I actually live closeby. Since this place opened a few weeks ago, my family and I have ordered about 5 times and have been satisfied every single time. Im often hesistant to eat out especially Mexican food, considering I am actually Mexican and I can kill it in the kitchen myself. Simply said the food is GOOD. I've been to many a Mexican restaurant/taco joint and they all leave that trademark heartburn and tummy rumble(an inevitable side effect of spices and oilsoaked tortillas), this place does not. The food actually tastes fresh, clean and guiltfree. Prior to this our only take out options were fried or deep fried, so we are soooo happy and grateful for this restaurant and welcome it to the neighborhood. As for dining in, I wont deny the staff seems somewhat frazzled at times which I think is a combination of lack of experience and/or being understaffed, but honestly it's no big deal for now. We definitely will continue to come back, my favorite are the chicken nachos(which are not skimpy) my husband is crazy for those al pastor tacos and this is my daughters new favorite pizza...
Read moreTerrible service and wait times BEWARE HIDDEN FEES. Do not come here if you want to be served in person on a reasonable time frame and with a sense of common courtesy. You are not greeted when you come in, you have to seek the attention of the staff to even be acknowledged, and when they finally give you attention they are very indifferent, bored/annoyed, and act bothered by you even being there. They seem to prioritize their online orders more than in person customers, they had no sense of urgency and even took 5 minutes to give us a tea which literally could have been handled in 30 sec (get hot water, pour tea bag).
Also they do not give you a legit receipt, its all hand written, the math does not add up right. Our meal wen't from 9.50 to about $14.50 without an explanation.. and THEN there was a "service fee" once the card was swiped -_- really shady way of charging customers.
Not worth your time to come here and waste your money on this...
Read moretl;dr awesome food, slow in-house service. stick to ordering online
The food here is not only amazing, but the portions are huge. I was full after splitting a vegan burrito and some of the best chips and guac I've ever had.
The food was so good that I'd give this place 5 stars if the service wasn't so slow. The person working the front of house was doing a phenomenal job, but there was far too much work for her to efficiently handle alone. She was managing the phone, working the online orders, playing hostess, taking orders, cleaning tables, running food to the tables, and packaging the takeout orders. They need to hire another person to help and give that girl a promotion. Start to finish, in-house service took over 50 minutes when few others occupied the restaurant. They seem to favor delivery orders and takeout. It probably would've been faster to order online then grab a table...
