It's 5:48pm, and I just finished eating a piece of sandwich given to me by a daughter of my 67year old hospital roommate. I was eating it while watching a Taro Reading for a Capricorn (yep, I am Capricorn!) for my research about Tarot Readings, when I started noticing the taste of the sandwich I was eating mindlessly. I suddenly, changed my focus to the food I was eating.
Here's what I noticed: the varieties of food inside was perfectly blended. The bread wasn't hard and wasn't soft either__it just melted perfectly well with its mixed contents! I can taste the cheese, and it gives a perfect taste to the food I was eating. It wasn't salty but it was tasty.
So, when I finished, I asked my roommate's daughter the name of the sandwich and where she got it from__because it deserve a 5-stars!
It's a Cuban Sandwich from El Viejo Yayo 2👍
It was the most perfectly blend sandwich I have ever tasted in my 46 years on Earth! It feels like, everything that was put inside of this sandwich was measured perfectly to get that well balanced taste. Bravo: a masterpiece sandwich!
I will definitely drop by to that place to buy one for me, and my son, and my Mom once I got out of this hospital ___I now know where I can get it😍

It is now May 3, 2022, and I am out the hospital. Since this place was a walking distance from it, I decided to drop by before going home ---man, really delicious Cuban Sandwich!
And, when I used their bathroom, I felt like I was in the bathroom of a nice house: it was cleaned, the lighting was soft. The ambience was mellow and relaxing♥️And it has a half-a bench you can sit on that has cushion to make sure your bum-bum has a vip treatment 👍 It also have a full length mirror behind the door where you can check your handsomeness/beauty-- and most of all, their sink mirror is little-people - friendly, not like other restaurants' sink mirror where I had to jump just to see my face 🤦...
Read moreI've been to this place several times and the food and service has been good. I have no clue what happened today but it was the strangest experience ever. First we asked the waitress before we sat down if we could sit outside which she just dismissed us and replied that someone is sitting there. Just to clarify, they were not customers, they were random people sitting there because they just got up and left shortly after. Once we sat down, the waitress stood by staring at us and asked us if we were ready to order. We didn't even open the menus yet and she was already asking?? Odd. We order a round of beers and she returned with waters, the beers and a basket of butter bread. Not only did the bread look old but sliced bagels too. What in the fudge?? Once we finally ordered and the food came out, which to me was good as I expected, we found a piece of plastic in the rice. Clearly after that we were done with the food and the "experience". No, I did not bother to tell the waitress because the easiest thing to do is pay and leave and inform others to avoid this place. It is such a shame a nice Spanish restaurant has fallen to such a low since the last time I was...
Read moreWow, I was expecting this to be good based on their history of multiple restos in Park Slope for well over 10 years. Maybe I was foolish for ordering seafood here, but it’s so prominent on the menu that I expected it to be good.
I started with the shrimp cocktail, which consisted of tailless butterflied shrimp on top of chopped lettuce and cocktail sauce. The taste was ok, and the shrimp were sub-par but… decent, I guess, but what an unusual presentation. I felt like I was competing with the pile of lettuce to get enough cocktail sauce. I’m pretty sure shrimp cocktail gets served everywhere else in a cocktail glass for a reason.
Then I had 6 baked clams. They were just gross, and I didn’t finish them. I normally LOVE baked clams and order them any time they’re on a menu, but these felt and tasted like they came frozen, then sat in a refrigerator for days before being quickly reheated.
Service was ok, but the place itself was disheveled and the bar stools all had miscellaneous stuff in front of them, like water pitchers (and water covering the counter below them), POS systems and stuff like that. Not a comfortable place to sit and (not) enjoy...
