Came here for dinner with a friend as she works in the area and we wanted something casual. We went at 545 on a weekday and the place was mildly crowded at the bar but there was many tables available to sit at. However, when we told the hostess we wanted a table for 2, she looked at us like we were crazy and took a few minutes to "find a table" for us. Kind of weird but we ignored it as we were both hungry and ready to eat.
I got a black bean burger with curly fries and my friend got a chicken wrap. We asked for sides of condiments, but when the food was brought out, those were left off our plates. The burger was meh, had a not so appetizing texture but did have avocado which was good. The fries were crispy and pretty good. As we were finishing up, we were chatting and continuing to catch up. There were other tables available and we hadn't been there even an hour yet. A person who I assume was a manager came up to our table and asked us if we needed anything else and that she was going to bring the bill. It was very obvious that they were rushing us out, because we weren't sitting there slamming drinks. Since we had just spent over 30 bucks on sub-par food and hadn't been there very long at all, I really felt that this was totally inappropriate and not a great way to get your name out there for customer service. I definitely won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this place to...
Read moreFaces and names food is pretty good. The tacos are amazing and I usually have nice experiences there. Unfortunately Yesterday my wife sat down in an unreserved manner section of the restaurant (alot of sections were reserved for the superbowl which is fine.) And we hung out there a few hours before the game. I guess people started showing up early for the game and the waitress starts pressuring us to leave I tell her to give us a few mins. my wife and I were having an important conversation with a coworker. Then the manager comes over and tells us that we basically have to leave because the people are here for the game and they need to place them where we are sitting. *blank stare I just spent $200 in here and you're rushing me to leave because people showed up early for the superbowl. The manager then offers to buy us a round. I let him know that I'm sorry I dont care about a free drink I'm a frequent patron because I work in the neighborhood and that's completely unprofessional to take our money and then rush us out for another patron when we sat at an unreserved table. I declined the free shot because it's a slap on the face when you think you can shut me up with a shot. I'm going to make sure our company never haveany more functions moving...
Read moreBeen here many times, and its been good, and baaaad. Tonight was I guess a night where it makes you sum up the pros and cons, and see where you stand. Biggest problem was the inconsistency, but I have always tried to “see the other side perspective”, and understand why something happened the way it did. Well, this time the “consistent” behavior was something that we saw with respect, and even though I would never judge someone for doing their “job”, in the past was always the guests here, who had a “job to do” (offering $900 a night, to be with someone, its a bit overstretching it. This was last time, few months ago, when my brother got the proposal foe the service of this one individual. Today, same girl, seated at the same spot, with her friend, told us that the seats next to them were occupied. I didn’t care, I was not there looking for extra curucilar service. After about an hour, seeing that no one sat there, even though they told us the seats were occupied, one of them, entered the bar and started serving drinks. So, The Bartender, here can arrange for some services, and controls who sits at the bar, based on how much they will spend on “having a good time” in a “Room in Times Square. What a fall...
