George's Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

My recent experience at this diner was incredibly disappointing and frankly, quite off-putting. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the uncleanliness of the place, which only seemed to be reflected in the demeanor of the staff as well. The waitstaff appeared unfriendly and had difficulty communicating in English, which added to the confusion and frustration of my visit.

When I placed my order for chicken strips and waffle fries, I expected to receive what I had requested, but instead, the waitress brought me a completely different meal. She delivered waffles and a single piece of chicken, leaving me bewildered. Despite my attempts to clarify my order by pointing to the menu and specifically stating what I wanted, she insisted that waffle fries were merely a side dish. I was exasperated but chose to stay quiet as I accepted the meal.

As I began to eat the chicken breast, I was horrified to discover a long hair embedded in it. This was absolutely disgusting and raised serious concerns about the hygiene standards of the kitchen. While I refrained from confronting the waitress at that moment, I couldn't ignore how unsettling this was and decided to document it with a photo for evidence.

To top it all off, the presence of hair in my food was not only unappetizing, it was unacceptable. I plan to report this incident to the department of health because it's alarming to think that such practices could occur in a place meant to serve food. I truly cannot envision returning to this unsanitary...

Went to George’s restaurant for lunch for the first time with my mother and my sister in law. The service was absolutely horrible. We waited what felt like an hour just to be approached and asked what we would like to drink . Coffee please ! Well that took another 20 minutes. Lucky we were seating by the counter so I just got tired of waited got up grabbed my own creamer and a corn muffin . When she finally returned to take the order she brought water to the table .. still no coffee .. the girl seemed sweet don’t get me wrong but she needs to be trained I could have starved to death waiting for her . Then my mothers omelette came back wrong not once but twice. After a while we just gave up and decided to leave. But lord behold getting the check took another 40 mins lol thankfully the counter women noticed and I just couldn’t help myself anymore and I finally said please can you help us . She got us the check and we ran out of there . Sad because the food was actually good. Coffee I didn’t for but then again it could have been because it took 45...

First of all this restaurant doesn’t deserve a star at all. i’ve ordered about three times, believing my experience would be different. However i was wrong this will be my third and last time. i recieve my food and it looked stale as if it layed around for 3 weeks and they finally decided to get rid of it. took one bite and the chicken was hard i felt like i was chewing on rubber. called for the manager, he was really rude. very hesitant on giving his name. i had to basically pull teeth with him. he was very nonchellant about the situation and didn’t seem to care. it really puzzles me why some people own a restaurant and choose to mistreat their customers. YOU MIGHT AS WELL TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND FLUSH IT DOWN THE TOILET, BECAUSE THAT’S HOW I FELT WHEN ORDERING FROM GEORGE’S CRAPY RESTAURANT. place it blah food is blah and the manager is blah. THIS PLACE SHOULD CLOSE DOWN AND HAVE A REALLLLLL RESTAURANT...
