It was random, (and I’m a huge nerd! Especially since I share a birthday with George Lucas) but we went in because my friend had to pee, but I always feel guilty so I bought a beer. As I began looking around I saw little things like BB8 stickers, a Yoda puppet, imperial stickers... and then while waiting for my friend I saw this door... and I thought, ‘the greatest gift I have EVER given myself. Is stumbling RANDOMLY, into this treasure of a unofficial star wars themed bar!’. I didn’t want to leave! It was chill and awesome, very local feel. I’ve lived in NYC my WHOLE life and only after Covid have I discovered my mew favorite bar!

Great atmosphere and ambience, great staff. You walk up the stairs as it is above another business below, hence “treehouse.” Bradley and Arianne are awesome and personable bartenders making it an even better experience. There is a full digital jukebox and the bar sites about 20 seats. They have large TV / projector screen playing games, sports, etc. In front they have a three step walk up where you can sit and people watch the outside street and sidewalks etc. Beer and cocktail selection is above par and this is a must hit spot while your in the village of NYC.

The bar has a cool vibe and is pretty small. The reason for three stars is because the manager was extremely rude to us and apparently has a history of being rude to customers. However the other bar tender was very nice. Avoid the man with the mustache.

I would give this 0 stars if I could. I came here with a group of friends and entered easily by showing the doorman my id. We found seating near the back & decided on our drinks. I went up to order the drinks for the group. I ordered 4 beers and a mixed drink. The bartender, Jay, asked if I was paying with a card. I confirmed and he said "I'll need to see 5 ids". I said "oh. Okay" and went back to my group of friends to collect the ids. Jay followed me to my table, turned on the lights (I thought maybe we were in a reserved space), & asked if we had shown our ids at the door. We confirmed and he claimed that he didnt know his doorman was working (at almost 10pm on a Friday night in NYC) trying to give himself a rationale for his actions. He took the card & went back to the bar alone. Alarmed by this abrupt behavior, I went to collect the drinks & when I stopped to try to read the receipt and sign, he said "I have a big night, you don't need to tip". He did not treat the white people in front of me this way. A young man ordered a wine for the girl next to him & no one was carded. When my friend drank the mixed drink she said it tasted like juice. It was supposed to be a tequila sunrise & and tasted like pure orange juice. She went to the bar and asked Jay to make it a little stronger. He denied her claiming that he poured 6oz of tequila and that was more than the limit and for her to go to another bar. It honestly seems like he didnt want to serve anyone that wasnt white. My white friend later ordered for 3 tequila shots, was not carded, nor was given any issue regarding how he was...

I am unsurprised reading through these reviews (which I only did because of my horrid experience yesterday evening) to see many people have complained about the rude bartender. I actually inquired about this particular man as I was so stunned by his attitude as a semi-regular patron of this establishment over the past 8 or 9 years. I was dumbfounded to find that he is actually the manager of the bar. The other bartenders were quite pleasant, and I am sorry to give one star, but it’s just unacceptable: After serving us drinks, he facetiously asked me if I knew where Fiddlesticks was and if I was lost. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Fiddlesticks can be a bit young and fratty, and I believe this man was insinuating that I didn’t belong in his establishment. When I ordered another round, he refused to serve me and again told me to go to Fiddlesticks. To make matters worse, I was even going to add a tip to my tab despite his behavior, and he took away the slip before I even signed it.

Now I should also mention that upon entry to the bar, I took a seat I didn’t realize was occupied. The manager in question let me know someone was sitting there, and when the man returned, I kindly gave him the seat back and told him I was keeping it warm for him. I don’t believe this interaction justified the manager’s behavior, but I can’t think of anything else I did to deserve this horrid treatment.

The one star is for the vaccine check protocol being 100%,...

Visited this place in March 2018 but just now writing a review. Walked in with my girlfriend during happy hour coming from Down the Hatch a few blocks away. Ordered drinks and the bartender asked for an ID where we happily gave him ours. He gave it a weird look and said he can not accept it. I asked him why and he replied it wasn’t me. I said undoubtedly it was me and pulled out my debit card to show for further proof. He than continued to say he was not going to serve me or my girlfriend. I looked at him and with no words, we left. I read another review by Valarie where the bartender accused the ID of being fake. The owner replied to her comment and from the owners reply, you can tell the type of douchebags they are here. How employees act also says a lot about the owners. Needless to say my girlfriend and I were not “intoxicated” just looking for a change of scene. We ran into an offensively impolite and ill mannered bartender but we did not let him have the pleasure of ruining our fun. We handled the situation with great respect, and is why we left and would NEVER step foot into this establishment again. Shining light on what really goes on here because I see we are not the first. TAKE MY WORD & SPEND YOUR TIME AND...
