Happy Tuna Sushi & Crispy Rice — Restaurant in New York

Had high hopes for Happy Sushi, but the experience didn’t quite land. The staff was friendly and really pushed the buy-one-get-one-free deal, which sounded great—until I got back to my hotel and realized the second roll was missing. Ordered on Ubereats and it came very fast. Got here in less than 20 minutes in a colorful, but simple box. Great presentation.

We got a sampling of 6 types of sushi and they came with 6 types of sauces to add. The spicy tuna roll was a perfect amount of spice that didn’t overpower the tuna. The salmon avocado was the perfect ratio to make the perfect piece of sushi.

Great option for quick sushi late at night with friends....

I paid $38 for a roll and 2 pieces of tuna nigiri and honestly was pretty bad. I ordered in person to make sure it would be made fresh, when it was handed to me 2 minutes later all boxed up I knew I was going to be disappointed. The fried rice roll was mushy and ice cold and didn’t taste right. The fish wasn’t fishy itself but it was still insanely disappointing. Not sure how this place has such high ratings. I’d say avoid...
