Holy Burger Canal St — Restaurant in New York

I really wish I could put in a positive review. Google Maps said over 4 stars. I really want small businesses to succeed.

I was able to order the basic hamburger without onions or sauce and I added an avocado. I also ordered a water.

The cashier person brought the water to me which I thought was nice.

Probably 5 or 10 minutes later the gentleman walked across to my table with my hamburger which I thought was nice.

As far as a hamburger it was small... at most it was a quarter pounder, maybe 1/8 really.

I looked at the hamburger and noticed something green inside of it... it was the avocado... You can see a picture of it right here.. It was clearly rotting and no where near fresh.

I only went up to the gentleman and asked if this was his expectation. He first grimaced at the sight of it... Then he said, 'Well that's the avocado that we have' ... I said, "Okay as long as I know that's your expectation" ... and then I walked out politely.

I felt like I gave him a reasonable opportunity to remedy the situation but he did not take it. The woman who worked at literally looked like she just didn't...

Whenever I come to this branch they have so many of their key items unavailable. Whenever you ask them why something is unavailable they say “ask our manager”. For reference they didn’t have milk for milkshakes each time that I’ve gone, no Holy Dogs each time, and this time around they didn’t even have water. Also, they told us they had no sauces besides ketchup and BBQ, when asked what they put in my burger (Holy Sauce) the person at the register said “If I give you, I have to give everyone”. Which would be obvious considering it’s on the menu.

Not sure what is going on in this branch but this is absolutely horrible. That was my last time coming here. Terribly mismanaged

Response to the owner: I went with my wife and siblings and many occasions and this is far from the truth. Although these items are on the menu, they are not in the physical location when ordered for some reason. The only response I've gotten from staff is that it is up to the manager whether or not these items...

Everyone should stay away from this establishment. I ordered three times. The first was fine. For the second order, the food was not tasty at all. The meat and the chicken was very difficult to chew and the bread was tasteless. I gave them one star on Uber eats and hoped the third try would be better.

For the third order, I found several live bugs inside the box they provided. While the bag was closed, they left the box wide open and the box didn’t seem clean as per the picture I added. I called the restaurant and they told they couldn’t redo the order and that I had to contact Uber eats. The bag was clipped and so the delivery man could not have opened the box himself without unclipping the bag.

Their sanitary inspection also resulted in several comments from NYC Health. I will never order again from this store and I suggest you stay...
