40 plus yrs.It was one of the pillars in the community you could count on back then. This Bakery was one of the few who would LITERALLY DONATE GIVE back to its community to have nice events for the kids. The Original Owners are no longer. They have sold its Bakery to the owners we have now.The community was sad when one of our pillars of our community were getting old an selling their store for their retirement we were being selfish, us kids in the neighborhood didnt understand why they were leaving .These new IMMIGRANTS in this Soundview area have no idea of the JOY it was.I wish THESE immigrants would have witness THE FIGHTING it took for them to even walk around freely as they do now. They probably think life was like they are witnessing now, these folks would not be able to walk to parkChester n forget about goin further to Westchester square.New owners are not the same but it's still a friendly fun ATMOSPHERE, you can go to an pick up you're morning cup of coffe, bagel, muffins, breakfast etc, it's still the main Bakery in the neighborhood no other can compete but if you want the best spanish made AVENA you go to the one bakery under the soundview 6 train next to the a deli. I just had to mention Avena cause we enjoy avena so iam just letting those who love it to go to this place for the Avena...

Idk if it was TOO MUCH food coloring etc. It was vanilla icing inside instead of cream cheese. The cake design didn't meet my expectations so I ordered a floral cake topper from Amazon and ask the lady at the bakery to add gold pearls. I threw the cake away... The next day friends said I should call and get my money back. I contact the store. The woman was being dismissive. A waste of $70 but hopefully my review will help them correct...
Read moreOne of the very few bakeries serving excellence on Westchester ave. They have a wide variety of pastries, sandwiches, cakes, personal deserts, coffee; made a plethora of ways. You can even pre order larger orders of mixed or specific pastries and sandwiches. Obviously call ahead if you have a big order. The owner is always visible, and yet you probably won’t recognize him unless you know he’s the owner. Super humble and extremely hard working individual. If he’s not in the kitchen, then he’s usually behind the counter helping out during a rush. The only downside would probably have to be the limited seating. That said they do offer 6 double seaters. This would have to be my number one place to get the absolute BEST Cuban sandwich and mini Guayaba pastelitos..a truly LATIN...
