Kazi Halal Food — Restaurant in New York

In the Dumbo area there are many halal carts, but none as good as Kazi Halal.

Kazi is a standout in the quality of the meat and the quantity of the proportions.

I ordered the lamb over rice and for 9 dollars, Kazi Halal Food is an exemplary Halal cart. In the age of “Halal-ificiation”, I commend this cart for its fair price when other carts are selling a worse lamb over rice for 12-13 dollars.

There is no bullshit with this cart. No terrible processes veggies mixed with the meat to get you full. Simple in design. Speedy in delivery. Super fresh.

This is the real thing and why Halal carts are so beloved...

The food was amazing, I ordered the falafel sandwich which was $8 and the chicken over rice which was also $8. Both were well made and the portions were generous. This is a bang for your buck considering how expensive meals are in this area. They even have a green sauce available that they make themselves.

Kazi himself despite a bit of a language barrier is an awesome person to speak to, he is generous in terms of helping his clients out both in pricing and with his sympathy. The service is awesome and overall I would recommend this halal cart/food to...

Hello Everyone, Although this location is temporarily closed, the same person is operating only 5 minutes away at 195 Joralemon Street, both locations have the same owner but recent challenges have lead the owner to temporarily shut down this location.
