Staff and food are nice but I'll never return. Ordered food and drinks and when the bill came there was an additional 12.7% "tax" on the bill. Sales tax is 8.75%. I understand credit card processors charge usually 3% on top plus a $0.30 fee because I also run a business. I do not however charge my customers an exorbitant fee without telling them that. I asked the bartender and she said many customers complain but apparently someone from the state came in and told them they had to collect more tax. So you got busted for not paying taxes and now you pass that on to the customer? I would have just let it pass but then the staff told me to read the sign posted behind the bar: "we don't charge tax, we just collect it." That was the final straw. All around shady practices from the owner. Me and everyone in the party has filed a complaint with the NYC Consumer and Worker Protection Agency and I encourage everyone else to as well. I know it's petty but so is that obnoxious sign they point to when they rip you off. Shame on the owners. I'm attaching a pic of the receipt for proof. Do the math yourself. EDIT: I’m leaving this down below for folks to read because the owner disingenuously replied to me. The cash discount program of New York specifically prohibits this kind of behavior from business owners. This bar is allowed to charge a different price for credit cards - tons of bars do this in Brooklyn. In fact at almost every bodega/bar/restaurant in NYC, I assume if I pay with card an added 8.875% “tax” is added on. The violation is that this charge is hidden on the bill and nowhere in the bar are consumers told that a separate pricing scheme exists for credit card transactions. In fact there’s only the sign above the bar which says they only “collect tax”. As the owner just stated they in fact do charge you more than just tax. The law is written carefully, thoughtfully and clearly in order to protect consumers from hidden charges and to allow businesses to encourage their customers to save them money by paying in cash. If your business is getting hit that hard by credit processing fees go cash only!

I'd give 4.5 stars, but I can't, no parts of stars, because you're too far from my house. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly, welcoming environment for all sorts of folx. They got burgers and wings and, drumroll, jello. shotss. Seriously. And, and, if you are an enthusiast of indigenous aquaculture, there just might be an amazing conversation waiting for you here. I suggest a stop by.

A fun eagles bar. Absolute dive in the best way. The service was friendly and the food was great! I can’t believe we’ve lived here for four years and just tried it out! Fantastic spot to watch sports and have some good bar food.

You'll find me here most Saturdays during the softball season. I've done so for almost 10 years now.

The bartenders are always fun, efficient, and consistent. The selection of beers and alcohols is varied with some very fun specials. My favorite special is the 50 State Roadtrip. The rules are simple, there is a mix drink/cocktail assigned to each one of the 50 states. If you can drink all fifty cocktails in a year or less, you get a prize (I'll let you ask them - builds suspense).

The menu is simple, but that is its beauty. The food won't break the bank, but it is quite tasty.

For some, you may enjoy a game of flipcup or beer pong in the back.

Finally, you have the option to sit outside or enjoy the AC inside and watch...

Oh man this bar is so great! I mean the menu is perfect! Many hot boozie drinks to choose from- I went with the Cactus Hot Coco and it was amazing - server told me if it is too strong just ask for more water at any point- too boozie?! Awesome! I then tried A Root Beer slushie which was just amazing and they had two other soda boozie drinks that I am definitely am going back to try. The DJ was terrific for the night playing some really great nostalgic 90s music which apparently is a thing they do from time to time. To top it all off they have a food menu with just a few sandwiches all that looked great- I went with a spicy roast beef and it was great. Good music, good drinks, and...
