I NEVER write reviews, but I had such a negative experience, that I had to say something.
I booked a pedicure and a dip manicure with tips online. After the pedicure started, the person doing my pedicure stepped away saying she had to check someone else out, which was totally fine. But she left me sitting with half my toe nails trimmed for 15 minutes while she stood at the register waiting for another customer to check out. At this point I really didn’t care, things happen but this was just the beginning of just a bad experience.
She did my pedicure and it was ok. The water was really cold and the polish is still all around my toes outside of the nail, pretty sloppy. At one point she dropped a tool on the ground and instead of getting a new clean one or cleaning it, she proceeded to continue using it, which just didn’t sit right.
Then after I was done, she told me to go to the drying station, and I said okay, but that I also had a manicure which seemed like a shock, even though she checked me in. Other people were available, but another staff member told her she would be doing the manicure, too. She seems really hesitant but we got started anyways.
She proceeded to start by gluing on the tips. It took her 30 minutes to pick out the tips and glue them to my fingers which felt like a long time. She started filing, and ripped off the tip in the process. She said sorry, and reglued it, whatever it happens. But then this happened for 3 more nails. She apologized reglued and then filed two other nails successfully. By this point it had been almost an hour and they were closing in 20 minutes and clearly trying to clean up. I asked what was going wrong, and she told me it would just be easier if we didn’t do the tips, and I just got a regular dip manicure instead. I told her I would rather not because I booked something else, so she kept going and after a 4th nail ripped off, I asked if we could just take off the tips and I just wouldn’t get anything. Someone else came over to check in, pointing out she had used the wrong tips, hence why they were ripping off. She explained she had never done the service before. So she proceeded to saw off the rest of the tips, leaving my nails in horrible shape and covered in glue. She was going to leave them that way, and I asked if I could just get the glue off. And she told me with soap they would. Then she walked away, and without asked me she buffed them off and then filed them without asking me if that was what I wanted and then started filing my natural nails even shorter into a weird circle/kinda round shape?
I checked out, and I still had to pay full price for my pedicure, no discount for 1 hour of waiting and having my nails ripped off and not getting the service I booked for. I still tipped because I felt bad, but I just feel that if you’re going to offer services, people who know how to do them should be the people doing them. I felt I was nice in the salon, and said it was okay, but it ruined my evening, experience and I didn’t even get the simple manicure I asked for. I feel horrible writing this review, but I just don’t want someone else to have this experience, and I think there may need to be a bit more training with the staff, especially for how expensive...
Read moreI am sad to write a review like this but I don’t want anyone else to go through what I went through. The service booked was a Gel Manicure with Gel polish removal. Total time was supposed to be 1 hour. The service turned into 1 hour 45 minutes and when all was said and done I wasn’t happy. The woman who took care of me was not experienced as I hoped she would be and for what the price is. The shaping of my nail was a challenge and I asked her to stop filing because the few nails were starting to get round. I wanted just a square nail with a slight round off. The feeling I had was worry, I felt as though the technician didn’t know how to trim nails, clipping one hand and only filing the other hand. This is when I started to be concerned about the quality of the manicure. I continued though, hoping that it would get better. I was excited for the massage and unfortunately there was not really a massage. The technician seemed to be in a rush and and stopped paying attention, as they put two coats of polish on my right hand and only one coat of polish on the left. The top coat was matte and as the polish cured, you could see the sloppy job that was done. A second top coat was applied to both hands creating super thick nails and bumps on a few nails. The polish was all over the place and was sticking to my skin. They barely looked over my nails and said, all done. I was shocked and I pointed out the bumpy nail and she rushed to start filing it down, not paying much attention and talking to the other staff. Fully removing the polish from one nail. My only thought at this point was to get the polish removed but we were breaching 2 hours, I began to feel more uncomfortable with the situation and honestIy wanted just to be done. I ended the service and the one ringing me up for the service could tell I was disappointed, offered me half off and that was fine. She also offered to fix it 3 days later. Took photos and said she would be showing her lead. I still tipped the woman on my service as I am in the same industry and understand things happen. Read morePROFESSIONAL PRICES AMATEUR SERVICES I am surprised their reviews aren't lower, this place is awful. I have used them several times over the last few years bc they are next door to my condo. Every experience is worst than the last. Their technicians genuinely seem untrained, they take absolutely forever, your nails are NEVER uniform rather vary in length and shape. There is minimal technique and zero professionalism to what they do there.
My Last Experience: I was talked into paying more for gel polish and ended up paying $30 additional to that for a metallic finish. The tech said it would last weeks and that they would remove it at a minimal fee. It peeled and chipped and cracked within one week and my nails have not stopped breaking since! I returned less than two weeks later to have the gel removed before a trip. They were ready to take me until I explained that I just wanted the gel removed. Then it was an hour. I left them with my number explained to them that I was travelling and I would wait for this appointment but would really appreciate it if they would call me if anything opened up sooner. I returned 58 minutes later to be told that they couldn't take me at all.
I only got the gel bc they assured me they would remove it. I was only there before my trip because the gel lasted a fraction the time it was supposed to. I delayed my trip to wait for my appointment and they had my phone number but neglected to give me the respect of letting me know they were going to scr*w me over so I could scramble to find another solution. Now I am out of time and I have these hideous, jenky breaking nails and nothing I can possibly do about it for 2...
