Would give 0 stars if I could. My mom, who is from out of town, was treated HORRIBLY by this manager. I have lived in NYC for 12 years and havenāt experienced customer service so bad. Look at my other reviews, Iām always leaving 5 star reviews supporting businesses. My sweet mother was just asking if a jacket that had a pen stain on it could be discounted a little bit, as she wanted to buy it for my little sister. The female manager snappily said that the stain would come out easily and she could do it herself, my mom said āthat would be great.ā The manager brought it to the back, ātook the stain outā and then came back and RAISED THE PRICE since the stain was out. She came out and said āwell now itās gonna be $59 cause the stain is out.ā My mom had already shown the jacket to my little sister who was excited about it, so she sent my aunt back in the same night to purchase the jacket at the raised price, cause she felt too mistreated and ashamed to go back in and see the manager again. Shame on you. For real my girl. Thatās not how you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne of the worst establishments I have ever experienced. I worked there about a year and an half ago and it was the most unprofessional experience you could imagine. The owner comes in only to yell at employees and run around frantically giving them new tasks on top of their daily ones. The managers are his sons and they have made several of the female employees extremely uncomfortable to the point of quitting.
Not only is it clear that their employees are miserable, but they are extremely overpriced. Every item they receive is based on donation ($0) and they continue to sell these items for a ridiculous price. In fact, sometimes items would come with their price tag, which would be removed and would be marked for an even higher price at Monk. There are many other thrift stores in the area, I would advise checking those out before giving your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe selection is HUGE so you will need to dedicate some time to go through everything and be thorough. Good mix of fast fashion-y brands (Madewell, Forever 21, Steve Madden, H&M) and vintage. Lots of leather jackets, denim jackets, and Michael Kors/Kate Spade handbags. There are 2 fitting rooms upstairs in old British phone booths that were closed, and a larger fitting area in the downstairs section. I took off a star cause it wasn't really clear if/how clothes and shoes were arranged by size (the shoes seemed pretty haphazard, the clothes were generally by size but the racks themselves weren't consistently labeled). Super friendly staff and decent men's section. Fun to stop here by and Buffalo Exchange (in the same building) and make an...
