Introducing New York's Most Comprehensive Seafood Shop

Introducing New York's Most Comprehensive Seafood Shop

Honestly, it's just another Asian market. Obviously you will find most Chinese products. But American products are more expensive compared to American markets. The place is typical with slightly unpleasant smells due to the fact that they sell fresh seafood and raw meats. Sometimes they have offers that I don't hesitate to take advantage of. Remember to please check the expiration date of the products and even check the product. I once found a package of turkey sausages that were not yet expired but the color and texture of the product was already rotten (they probably take little care about the refrigeration of the products) Because there are products that should be frozen and are simply on a normal shelf. It's not a bad store, I even shop often but it takes me an hour to check the products making sure they are not damaged before buying

We found the best prices for seafood at NY Marts - comparing their neighbor and Hong Kong market. We like all of the markets for different options but, for seafood this market is slightly less for the same fish. Pro-tip: you need to be able to recognize what you want by sight, there are prices for every fish but not every fish has the name in English written on the tag. Also, you get what you want in the plastic bags and then ask them to clean and weigh for you. It helps to know a few words in Mandarin for the fish and meat department, they really appreciate it if you say what you would like in Mandarin. 请切掉头并清洗干净。谢谢

This friendly market sells these "Zespri SunGold kiwis from New Zealand" that are worth your trip! I had never tasted such a sweet kiwi.... The fact is that I had never seen a yellow kiwi before and that prompted me to purchase them, also, the nice manager behind the counter kept on saying that those were yumi-yumi. If you will like to try those kiwis, there are placed by the Managers Counter at the entrance of the Market. This place is awesome. Great variety of Fruits and Fresh Produce. Chinese and American products. Large variety of dairy products, pasta and grains. Meats and fish. Great customer service!...
