Dear King Souvlaki Management,

I am writing to express my concern regarding a recent incident involving your food truck located at the corner of Northern Blvd & Bell Blvd. On 8/30/2024 at 4:10 pm , my 14-year-old daughter visited your truck to order food for herself and me, as I am disabled and unable to approach the truck myself.

She ordered Greek fries with lamb, tzatziki sauce, feta cheese, two waters, and a Sprite. To my dismay, she was charged $32 for this order. When I asked her to return to the truck and request a detailed receipt, the individuals working there informed her that they do not print receipts. Instead, they claimed they had accidentally charged her for an extra soda, handed it to her, and stated that this made us “even.”

While the food itself was of excellent quality, the behavior of the individuals working that day was unacceptable. It is deeply troubling that these individuals would take advantage of a young girl by overcharging her and then dismissing the matter by offering an additional soda. This not only reflects poorly on their character but also on the integrity of your business.

As a father, I take incidents like this very seriously, especially when they involve my child. I used this experience to teach my daughter about the unfortunate reality that some people may try to take advantage of others. However, I am extremely disappointed that this lesson had to come at the expense of our trust in your establishment.

I strongly urge you to address this matter with your staff to ensure that this type of behavior is not repeated in the future. I hope you can take the necessary steps to prevent similar incidents and maintain the reputation of King Souvlaki as a place of quality and integrity.

I have been eating this place for years and never disappointed until yesterday. I had a souvlaki pita sandwich. It came like a such a small skinny sandwich.only one chicken stick with pieces salad, not a full sandwich at all. I hope is just this one person doing it wrong not everyone else. I thought the $10 sandwich comes with 2 chicken sticks or at least enough salad to make the sandwich full.I don’t know if I will drive all the way to bayside to buy it again. Hopefully the owner of the truck be aware of this, and not to ruin the reputation. **Writing a review is not a punishment,it makes your aware what is going on with the service and quality.I wish I could just be there and spoke with someone, but I came home find that out . So is not worth to make a trip back. I hope you monitoring your employees and keep the good the quality and all the customers remains and we all stay and enjoy your delicious food. I would give this place zero stars if I could. $4 for a stick of meat, $20 for a salad. Seems way too expensive for what you’re getting. On top of that the tomato’s in my salad were old and on the verge of being rotten. However, the worst experience about this place is the fact that every time I come here, they rip me off. One time I came here and the guy working gave me $2 back instead of the $8 he was supposed to give me. Another time the guy overcharged me by $3. The people who run this cart are very dishonest and sneaky, so for that reason alone I no longer come here nor do I recommend this place to anyone I know. In fact I tell them about the trickery this place uses to rob its customers. Do yourselves a favor and go anywhere but here if you have any respect for your wallet. Shame on these people. And who doesn’t accept anything but cash these days? I have nothing to gain or lose by writing this unbiased review. Just being honest with...
