I walked over today in the rain because I saw an online ad the day before for super hero donuts. My husband is a huge Batman fan and so I wanted to surprise him with a box. When I walked in, it was empty, and I mean, not even an employee to be seen. I stood at the counter for a bit admiring the donuts and a gentleman came up suddenly “can I help you?” The greeting was abrupt and not exactly friendly as I’ve had in the past but nonetheless I gave him my order. I have the app and in front was a buy a dozen get one for $1 ad. I asked him about it and at that very moment a female employee cuts in I’m guessing to stock the donuts or maybe just overheard, cut me off and said “it’s not $1 it’s $9.99”. The tone she had was very combative as If she was expecting an argument. I started saying “oh I just saw the ad on my app..” again cut me off repeated the price and added “Participating stores only!” I don’t know why she felt the need to talk to me that way I didn’t ask with any aggression or anything, it was as if the question bothered her or she had answered it a million times before, I don’t know. I kind of wanted to forget the whole thing and leave but I just tried to shrug it off. The male employee who was helping me originally just kind of stared at me while she stocked the donuts she had, which funny enough were Batman donuts, but I already knew I wasn’t going to be getting any of those, I didn’t want to get another abrasive response so I just let him put my box together. I did however have a coupon which I was able to use and I just left, not a “thank you” or anything just a “do you need a receipt?” Disappointed in the customer service but the donuts were ok, hubby was pleased with the thoughtfulness, I guess that’s...
Read moreBeen there twice already but this store needs to get it together a little better. First off yea the donuts are ok and yea there are other places out there to get donuts. It’s all up to the individuals taste.
Now the store first of all when you go inside the music they are playing not only bad but very loud on top of all the employees working and talking taking orders.
Next is the pricing of the donuts. A dozen original glazed is 14.49 a dozen classic assorted is 16.49. The pricing is a little confusing because I noticed my bill was 18.49 and all I can think of is that it was because I also picked two cake batter donuts. You should at least be told that a particular donut is not included in that and the charge will be more🙄. I have the receipt to show this. Not happy at all with this. I guess many people don’t pay attention to their bill. The menu should be clear on the prices. So at those prices I rather go to the local bakery. You can even buy a great cake for just about the same cost.
The parking lot is a joke. They have so many lanes closed in anticipation of a large crowd making it a job if your not going to go to the drive up window and just want to go into the store. when you finally get to the store they have three rows of parking spaces block so you have to park a distance away and what’s worst is you cannot access the handicap parking spaces either. That whole parking and drive thru needs to be improved.
As for me I’m staying away till that gets better and I can park in front of the store.
Again the donuts are ok personal taste some like them some don’t but the other items need to...
Read moreThe staff here decided to make up a rule today that you can only pickup prepaid orders inside the store. They don’t tell you this until after you’ve been waiting in the drive thru line for 45+ min in the rain. The whole parking lot is barricaded off so that you cannot pull up to the front of the building and you can’t get out of the drive thru line once you’re on it. They wanted us to walk in the pouring rain to pick up an order we placed 30 min ago. They refused to just pass us our online order even tho we were already at the window (because there is no other way out other than through). We also ordered two days ago the same way and picked it up at the window with no issue, no mention of this “pickup in store only.” The only issue was the long wait.
The girl at the drive thru would not make eye contact with us and shut the window on us without even hearing us out about the rain and asking her nicely to pass our order. If they were going to do this, they need to publicize this information. There is no note on the line, window, or anything that pickups are in store only.
Oh, also you cannot cancel your order on the app and no one picks up the phone at the store if you wanted to cancel your order due to the long line or anything else.
This ridiculousness ruined our night. We like Krispy Kreme but after this experience we won’t be buying from here again. You cannot expect people to know about your made up rules. Work on treating people like people and don’t shut windows on people trying to politely...
