La Amistad — Restaurant in New York

Was my favorite spot in the neighborhood until today. family and I ate at this place at least 3-4 times a week for a long while now. Today I Ate breakfast with a friend indoors. I had just finished eating my food but was still drinking my iced coffee and chatting with my friend when the cashier, owners wife, came over and stated that if we finished we had to leave. I was flabbergasted and embarrassed because it was my friends first time there. I looked around and there was no one that was waiting for a table. However, I quietly paid my food and left the premises. I had also looked at the time I realized we were at La Amistad for about 1 hour and 35 minutes, but definitely under two hours. I feel if there is a time limit, it should be posted and there was not any. They lost me as a customer. Due to this experience, I will now spend my money other local eatery’s which as Brothers on 112 street, Mamas Cafe...

I went there today for brunch. The rest was not busy. I selected to sit in the back to avoid the sun/heat as door was open. The back was cooler, more spacious. The music was unbearably loud. I was unable to clearly hear my company who only speaks English. The music was in Spanish and nostalgia. I felt uncomfortable/like crying. I kindly asked the front worker to please lower the music a bit since we could not hear each other. Her response was of disservice/no interest in accommodating patrons She told me to move my seat. She pushed it further and asked why my company was not complaining. I canceled my order. She/the staff is not welcoming and seem fine with patrons walking out/and arguing head on with them. I love it here! They sell this little I would say munchkins in white sugar power like white covered donuts it's so good!! the pizza is so cheesy and hot! the crust is soggy but well it doesn't really matter to me anyways. The food their is so good they have different pizzas like cheese, pepperoni, chicken, and etc! so good if u live in Harlem or East River it's definitely not that far! If you deliver it will be soggy or whatever but I mean it's delivered what do you expect. The prices are Sooooo g-o-o-d!! U go there when my dad picks up from school and its really nice!
